Mexico is known for a variety of different things but above all else, we want to take the time to point out just how gorgeous their beaches truly are. We're going to pick out a few of our favorites today, but in reality, we could produce a list the size of Shaq's arm and it still wouldn't be enough to do them justice.

If you've popped on over to Mexico in the past then you'll know the ins and outs from the culture to the tequila to the love of the people. However, all of that chaos seems to subside just a little when you piece together their 'beach life'.

Being blessed with such great coastal wonders is something that a lot of countries have had the fortune of enjoying over the years and there's nothing wrong with that. However, we tend to believe it's what you do with those coastal experiences that truly matters - both for the locals and the inevitable stream of tourists that will descend upon your shores.

So buckle up, get on Skyscanner and start booking the time off work, because you're going to want to check these small pieces of paradise out.

Costalegre

Sometimes the smallest beaches are the most charming and Costalegre certainly accomplishes that goal. It's a little bit rawer than most but, in all honesty, we quite like that. It makes for a much more authentic experience, and it ensures that we are even more jealous of the people who own those houses that you see up there.

It's located in a fairly well known touristy area of Jalisco with a lot of surrounding amenities to go alongside it, and we enjoy the hustle & bustle nature of that. Sure, embracing the chaos may not be everyone's cup of tea, but sometimes you need to mix up the madness with something a little different. From day to day, much like Forrest Gump, you never know what you're going to get.

Isla Holbox

This beach town is great because you can spend most of the day living it up on the beach, then go down to the markets and have a nose around, before heading back to the beach and embracing however much sunshine is left in the day.

It's nice to see how the other half lives sometimes and on this small strip of land, the car-free island really does shine in a way that would make us put it up against any other tourist destination on the face of the Earth.

The bohemian beauty of it all really does need to be seen in order to be believed, especially if you're still hunting around for the perfect honeymoon spot.

Medano Beach

Located in Cabo, we love the visual dynamic of Medano Beach. The rich & the famous come out to play here more often than not, and while you can choose to party on the sand, the real relaxation stems from the famous arch and rock formations that lie out on the water.

There are plenty of things on land in Cabo that would occupy your time, and that's what we think Mexico gets so right about their beaches. Sometimes we don't want to exclusively be on the beach all day, every day, because you need a bit of variety as opposed to just burning like a crisp in the sunshine.

When you do eventually head back down to the sand and the water it makes it all the more remarkable, and you're all the more appreciative of the fact that you get to be there.
