Nintendo fans all over the world are starting off 2021 rejoicing over the news that Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan has revealed official photos, including a fairly detailed map of the park section, complete with some unique features that, needless to say, have sparked even more excitement. In addition to the fun visuals, Famitsu has revealed some of the foods that fans can expect at the park as well, which has set off the final stage of what has been a thrilling announcement.

Along with these not-so-small announcements came the first indications of the rides that Nintendo fans can expect which will no doubt make each person feel as though they're part of another world. While Universal Studios Japan has incorporated video games into its major theme park before, this is the first time that Nintendo is getting a full technicolor, retro throwback world, complete with all of the game nods that fans enjoyed so much about the original game system. Upon first glance, it appears the park is a tribute to Mario, Luigi, and gang, with special sections of the park dedicated to major plotpoints in the original games.

Entering Super Mario World

The expectations for this park were high but the excitement level is even higher now that fans know upon immediately entering the park, they can walk right into the Mushroom Kingdom through Peach's Castle, which is just as grand on paper as it will be in real life. This is also where all the fun and magic starts and fans can get their first real taste of what to expect through Super Mario World. Not surprisingly, Mario and Luigi will both be present to greet visitors at Peach's Castle, which is also where visitors can get their wristbands and decide what to experience first. While there is somewhat of an apparent flow to the park, there's no specific order in which to experience all the things it has to offer - from Peach's Castle, visitors can move onto one of three paths.

To the left is Bowser's Castle which, from first looks, appears to have materialized straight from the games. If visitors stay to the middle, they'll arrive at what appears to be an overlook but is actually Kinopio's Cafe, photos of which have already been released. This is also where visitors can try all of the Nintendo-themed foods that are sure to blow the minds of fans, with each one getting cuter and more authentic than the last.

To the right, visitors can take their time exploring the park's rides and attractions, including the low-key Yoshi ride that many people are already talking about. Yoshi's Adventure will be located in Mount Beanpole while Koopa's Challenge, another recently-announced ride, can be found in Koopa's Castle. There might not be any shortage of fun that visitors can have on these themed rides but when it comes to food, Super Mario World is also knocking it out of the park (no pun intended) to give fans the ultimate Nintendo experience.

Fun And Food In The Mushroom Kingdom

Whereas the culinary artists at Super Nintendo World could have opted for foods that were simple but somewhat Nintendo-themed, they truly outdid themselves with this menu. Each menu item is highly detailed in its tribute to the retro games while also being familiar in the type of food that it is, such as the Mario Bacon and Cheeseburger. This dish looks like a typical cheeseburger except for the fact that the poppy seeds on top are decorated to look like the spots on a mushroom, and the entire thing is adorned with a super cute, red Mario hat. The burger, of course, has a healthy serving of sauteed mushrooms on it as well.

Other themed foods include the Question Mark Block Tiramisu which, up on first glance, looks like an actual question mark box from the games. Everything is edible including the box, and while whipped cream sprouts out of the top, the actual dessert is hidden inside as a sweet surprise, complete with a sweet like coin that has a tiny mushroom on it. Next on the list is a Pirahna Plant Caprese Salad which is truly unique in its presentation. The traditional ingriends for a caprese salad are showcased in a way that depicts a piranha plant from the game, making for a presentation that's super cool and accurate, also complete with tiny slices of mushrooms. Lastly, the Super Mushroom Pizza bowl is sure to be a hit - fans might need to do a double-take to determine if this is a pizza bowl or a magic mushroom!
