What To See In The Park

Waterfalls

Jiuzhaigou is host to several of the country's most beautiful waterfalls. Nuorilang means vast and splendid in Tibetan, which is appropriate considering the grandeur of this cascade. The Nuorilang Falls is China's largest waterfall. The park's most magnificent waterfall, Pearl Shoal Waterfall, is flanked by soaring green pines. It is pretty wide, similar to Nuorilang Waterfall. The shoal face of this cascade is a unique aspect. When current comes over the shoal face, it shows the significant sunlight in the same way that pearls do, thus the title.

Colorful Forests

What makes the forests unique is the multitude of appearances it exhibits in different seasons. The woodland turns a brilliant shade of yellow, amber, crimson, and golden in the fall. The dispersion of lighter and darker colors splattered across the hills and valleys like an oil painting throughout this season. As the early spring months approach, visitors can observe how the woodlands change, revealing magnificent hues of green.

Lakes

The park is host to several of the world's most beautiful water bodies. The water here is a pristine and greenish year around reflecting the natural beauty of the area, and the colorful bloom in the waters is known after the multicolored and well-known Five Flowers Lake. It appears to be magical and wonderful and is supposed to have mystical powers, causing the vegetation that is nourished by the lakewater to bloom with unusual vigor.

Surrounding Arrow Bamboo Lake, swaths of high bamboo sticks thrive. The lake reflects the reeds and the neighboring peaks, creating a beautiful image! The river goes through the woods, splitting into numerous little branches until reaching Arrow Bamboo Falls. Giant pandas used to enjoy living around Panda Lake in Jiuzhai Valley. They gathered here to drink water, have a good time, and eat.

  • This clean lake is home to a variety of fishes, including some rare species.

Blue Ice And Snowcapped Mountains

The several gushing waterfalls seen across the park tend to harden and crystallize during the chilly winter season. It produces a stunning display of snow drapes, sheets, and orbs. The way the sunlight changes the snow into a clear blue is what makes this occurrence truly remarkable. This spectral is extremely unusual, occurring only a few times annually, from late January to early February. There are plenty of frost heaves in the valleys to go with the spectacular collection of sculptures of blue ice located in the area.
