There is no shortage of entertainment options in America's Sin City. Las Vegas has a bewildering number of shows, shopping centers, activities, museums, and more. Some attractions are unique and found nowhere else in the world.

One place to consider putting on the bucket list is Area15. Arguably it is because of so many unique and unusual attractions that Las Vegas is not overrated and is a destination everyone should visit at least once.

The Las Vegas Strip is the heart of the city's entertainment district with an impressive collection of some of the largest and most famous casinos in the world. And Area15 is a major, brand-new attraction only a mile from the Las Vegas Strip. This new venture offers an experience in Las Vegas that's like none other — and that's saying something!

What Is Area15 And Why Is It So Special?

"AREA15 is Las Vegas’ newest experiential entertainment district offering live events, immersive activations, monumental art installations, extraordinary design elements, unique retail, bars and eateries, and much more.

AREA15 is a wondrous mash-up of experiences and an immersive playground, all rolled up into one vibrant space."

So — what exactly is Area15? It is an immersive bunker-style experimental bazaar with plenty of larger-than-life art installations and mind-blowing virtual reality experiences.

Area15 is an experiential retail and entertainment complex around a mile from the Strip. It has alcohol outlets, a restaurant, major experimental entertainment residencies, and more. Some of the retail stores here are found nowhere else.

Omega Mart and Lost Spirits take up large areas of Area15. Omega Mart is an interactive art installation while Lost Spirits is an installation the size of a football field that has a fully functional distillery in a dreamlike world.

After delays, Area15 finally opened in 2020 with the pandemic delaying its operations and cavity until 2021. Area15 has a capacity of around 7,000 people, although the pandemic forced it to temporarily limit it to only 750.

Attractions & Activities At Area15

There are far too many experiences offered at Area15 to go through here and really do them justice. While the outside of the main hall (all The Spine) is unassuming, inside it is lit up with backlights and neon colors.

There are virtual reality attractions, thrill rides, great restaurants, and much more.

Birdly is a ride that mimics every part of an avian experience. People feel the wind beneath their wine and get a bird's eye view of some of the richest landscapes of the digital world.
