Depending on the model of car and the company, you can make the trip for $200-400 dollars and have the car be a bit more stylish.

One of the most obvious and frequently used methods of traveling between NYC and Boston is buying a bus ticket. There are multiple places in the city that you can get on a bus from the Port Authority to Chinatown and more.

Buses are pretty cheap, and you can bring your luggage with you as long as you don’t have too much. Boltbus is a common bus line used between the two cities, but it’s not the only one. The downside to bus travel is that it’s not super fast, and you also have to share the ride with a lot of other people.

If you don’t have a car but need one for your trip, renting a car is a good option. While hiring a car can get you from point A to point B, you’ll still be left without transportation once you get to Boston.

When people think of bus travel, they often think of taking a Greyhound bus. This bus line is a tried and true method of getting from one place to another, and there are many Greyhound buses leaving from NYC to Boston.

The travel time on a Greyhound is the same as with any other bus usually. Greyhounds tend to be a little more expensive than some of the other bus services, but they do tend to have slightly better amenities.
