Viva Las Vegas.

It's called Sin City for a reason and that reason is simple: lots of chaotic things go down over there. However, even with that being the case, we still tend to think that there are ways to do Las Vegas right.

Perhaps there is no true right or wrong rhyme or reason when it comes to Vegas, probably because it's just so unpredictable. Either way, though, following these rules is the right way to ensure that you aren't left feeling disappointed.

As an extra warning, you'll often hear people say that you shouldn't overstay your welcome in the Nevada hub: and we think they're right. A long weekend is all you really need, and it's all that most can ever really handle.

THETRAVEL VIDEO OF THE DAY

Being able to survive and then thrive in Vegas isn't an honor we have all been blessed with, but whatever the case may be, we think it's the sort of destination that everyone needs to visit at least once in their lifetime.

Casino With Your Inner Circle

Hitting the casino seems and sounds like a stereotypical thing to do when hitting up Vegas, and that's because it probably is. However, we often see a lot of folks going with large groups of people - sometimes in excess of 20 or 30 - and our instinct is to suggest that this isn't the right way to go and spend all those chips.

The distinct intrigue that comes with playing in the casino should also come alongside a realization that less is more. You should be going solely with people you trust 100% because then you'll know that you won't go too overboard. A handful of people within your party ensures that everyone has a great time and that you don't get too carried away.

Flyboarding

It may look a little bit crazy, but trust us when we tell you that there are few things better than going flyboarding. You need to have a great deal of balance, but even with that being the case, it's still great fun to do - especially with people that are more than happy to take a few hours out of their day to be a bit silly and just let loose.

Getting out on the water doesn't really seem or feel like something you'd do all too often in a city that is, in many ways, a place that features a parade of colors, lights and excitement. While this may still be exciting, it's a type of relaxation and 'escapism' if you will that puts a different twist on what is bound to be a non-stop vacation or business trip.

Going To A Show

Going to shows is a really fun feature of just about any trip to the States, especially if you're going to the East Coast and taking in a bit of Broadway in New York City. Alas, if you head on over to the West in Las Vegas, the shows there will blow you away and give you an entirely different perspective on what it means to truly be an entertainer.

Singers always tend to pop up from time to time in order to flaunt their latest album to the masses, but beyond that, things like the Cirque du Soleil will live on for many, many years as being so awe-inspiring and, most importantly, so different. If you want a true Vegas experience, there are very few better options.

Watch The Fights

Vegas has been described as the fighting capital of the world and it's kind of hard to disagree with that sentiment. The very biggest stars from combat sports, mainly boxing and mixed martial arts, have had huge moments inside the various different arenas that make up the fighting hub in Nevada.

While you may not be on the verge of securing tickets to Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor unless you're incredibly wealthy, make sure to keep an eye out for when the UFC is next in town - you won't regret it.

Heart Attack Grill

From an outsider's perspective, we can understand why the idea of going to a place called the Heart Attack Grill is a bit unsettling, but as long as you aren't going back to eat there every single night for your entire stay in Vegas, you should be just fine.

The actual restaurant features a hospital sort of theme, with customers wearing hospital gowns and a wrist band as if they're "patients", whereas the waitresses are dressed as nurses. Then, if they don't actually manage to finish their meals, the waitresses will spank you with a paddle - because it wasn't quite weird enough already.

Try it at your own risk, but it's definitely something that you'll remember for a long time.
