While traveling, sometimes all we want is to feel like we're home. We want another option besides a small hotel room with a bed and a chair and experience something that pairs with our traveling needs. With over 600,000 rentals worldwide, Airbnb has helped people with finding somewhere to stay when hotels are booked, giving homeowners an extra income and letting people stay in a more comfortable environment. For the most part, this major company has a good reputation, but like any other company, there are some downfalls and questionable people involved.

10 The Painting Is On The Wall
Imagine after a long day of flying or driving to a destination and walking into this. Maybe the owner of the space calls it art, but it looks like a bottle of orange juice might've exploded or possibly a can of orange paint; either way, this is not the way a traveler would want to start their vacation off.
9 A Little Scrubbing and Elbow Grease Wouldn't Hurt
Bathrooms are supposed to be clean and sanitary because it's an area in our homes we get clean ourselves. It's understandable if a bathtub isn't spotless, but the one above is not acceptable. There's rust and there's a black liquid that might or might not be mold. There's no way someone would feel like they washed the day off right in here.
8 A Jail Cell For Two
At first, someone might mistake this Airbnb ad as a picture from a prison newsletter. This ad also included some sketchy sofas on the other end of the room and is described as "the sofas are perfect for hiding under when I come looking for you. Let me know if you need more towels."
7 This Will Definitely Be A Sleepless Night
This Airbnb rental might be a little more upfront in its theme and intentions. In east Vancouver, Canada, this rental is literally available for people to stay in. This gem is listed as the "dilapidated cabin" and rental costs start at thirty-five dollars a night. It offers 13 single beds, in 13 different rooms - no thank you!

6 Baby, We're Burning Up
One of the prerequisites of staying in an Airbnb is making sure that anything a person does isn't a fire hazard. With that said, we'd all expect the same from the person renting out their home, right? Wrong. One traveler captured the picture above and this is just a fire waiting to happen.
5 Who Needs A Roof And Four Walls When You Can Camp In A Queen-Sized Bed?
Sleeping outside is fun and all, but this only happens when a traveler wants to camp. There's an actual Airbnb rental that offers a bed, area rug, a nightstand, and a dresser in the Peckham neighborhood in London. Someone actually has had success with renting this little oasis out. Looking over the area around it, it's doubtful this is safe, sanitary or secure.
4 Treasures Under The Bed
People are prone to leaving things behind by mistake, but there is no excuse for these "treasures" to be found by a new renter. This is proof that some Airbnb guests don't do the full clean that they should before opening their doors to the next traveler. Heck, maybe a better spot check or two will prevent this situation.

3 Did Someone Have An Accident?
Accidents happen and a person might forget to flush ever so often, but this "situation" takes things to a whole other level. It's unclear what happened here, but it's hard to understand how this catastrophe would be missed by the cleanup crew and be left for the next unsuspecting guest.
