Fortunately, there are now many summer camps opening up for adults only, where people can get away for the weekend and participate in all the activities they missed the most. While all of these camps have things to do that will make you feel like a little kid, some activities have been added to give summer camp an adult twist! Take a look at some of the summer camps available for grown-ups only!

10 Adult Space Academy

You know you always wanted to go so Space Camp as a kid! But did you know that since 1990, there has been Space Camp for adults? The Adult Space Academy is a three-day event where you can do typical Space Camp things like making a rocket and even manning your own space mission!

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama provides both lodging and meals, so you'll spend less time packing and more time preparing to learn and explore the great beyond!

9 Outbound Pursuit Series

If you're yearning for adventure and physical activity, the Outbound Pursuit Series is for you. With locations in North Carolina, California, and Utah, you'll get to try paddle-boarding, mountain biking, rock climbing, and so much more.

All of these activities are taught and supervised by experts, and all the gear required is provided for you. You'll also learn cool survival skills like reading a compass and building a tent. It's not all work and no play though--nights at this camp are spent bonding with new friends with live music and an open bar.

8 Camp Halcyon

Camp Halcyon in Wautoma, Wisconsin, does their best to combine the best parts about being a kid with the best parts about being an adult. While they offer traditional summer camp favorites like canoeing, archery, and crafts, there are also activities like wine tasting, a class called "Cigars and Scotch 101," and a Beermaking class.

You could also opt to do some yoga on the beach, play in the Retro Gaming Lounge, or participate in games like laser tag and paintball. The options are endless at Camp Halcyon!

7 Epic Nerd Camp

As its name would suggest, you get to live out your geekiest fantasies at Epic Nerd Camp in Darlington, Maryland. While the activities offered here are certainly fun, they may look a little different than the activities from other summer camps!

For example, activities at Epic Nerd Camp include: mermaid swimming, light-saber battles, tabletop games, role-playing, and an escape room. And of course, arts and crafts like wand making! For fans of fantasy and science fiction, this place is for you. But there's no specific level of "nerdiness" you have to achieve in order to attend -- everyone is welcome!

6 Camp Kid Again

The goal of this camp should be obvious by the name! At Camp Kid Again in Clayton, Georgia, you get to go back in time to the days of silliness and wonderment.

Try not to think about work for a weekend and instead embrace the best parts about being a kid: with relay races, tetherball, a ropes course, dodgeball, tye-dye and a slip n' slide, you'll have no trouble getting in touch with your inner child. You don't have to leave your adult self completely, however -- with drinking games and live music, you're sure to experience the best of both worlds.

5 Club Getaway

At Club Getaway in Kent, Connecticut, you'll be able to get away from the stresses of your adult life and spend a weekend making new friends. There's something for everyone at Camp Getaway. If you're outdoorsy, go waterskiing or try out a zip line.

If you're active but want to stick to what you know, play some basketball or soccer. If you want to get even more exercise in, take a yoga or Zumba class. If you like learning new things, take an Improv or hip-hop class. And of course, there's a Pub Hike with plenty of drinking games.

4 Camp No Counselors

There will be no one bossing you around at Camp No Counselors! Do traditional camp stuff during the day like Capture the Flag, Friendship Bracelet Weaving, Scavenger Hunts, and Slip'N Slide. At night, enjoy a live band or a DJ at a themed dance party.

Other nights can be spent watching a stand-up comedy routine, a talent show, or a karaoke battle. With an open bar and top-notch meals, Camp No Counselors lets you indulge and relax, or choose to be outgoing and active the whole day! It's up to you.

3 Camp Throwback

Camp Throwback in Clarksville, Ohio, is just like the summer camp you went to as a kid...except now, there are activities like "Hangover Yoga."

Okay, so it may not be just like when you were a kid, but you do get to stay in a cabin while being served meals like mac n' cheese, hot dogs, and sloppy joes! Oh, and this camp experience consists of four days, one of which is a field day. (Remember how awesome field days were?).

2 Camp Bonfire

Camp Bonfire's mission is simple: provide fun opportunities for all kinds of people. If you want to do something traditional like archery, cool. If you want to try creating something like a fairy house, cool. And if you want to joust with lemons, that's cool too.

Camp Bonfire provides so many activities that you might get to the point where you're struggling to try them all! Or maybe you just want to lay out on a hammock. No judgment from Camp Bonfire. With their oldest camper being 78 years old, this camp is an inclusive place to try new things and meet new people.

1 "Camp" Camp

This camp is special, as it was created for adults who are a part of the LGBT+ community to bond and feel included. While there are plenty of traditional summer camp activities at "Camp" Camp, there are other activities like Capture the Wig, Broadway Dance, and LGBT-related seminars that make this camp stand out.

Spend your day learning about LGBT history, getting a massage, or getting make-up tips from a drag queen. Spend your night with themed parties, a talent show, bingo, a movie marathon, a wine and coffee bar, or a lip-sync battle.
