Croatia is a small Mediterranean country that's widely acclaimed for its dramatic and storied coastlines. Some places like Dubrovnik were even used in filming Game of Thrones (there is Game of Thrones tours there too). A whole different way to experience the Croatian coast is by staying in a lighthouse on an islet. Imagine having a whole lighthouse island as one's accommodation naturally; the island is only reachable by boat.

The Porer Lighthouse is open for booking and is a great way for people to enjoy a whole different Croatian experience. Croatia is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe and is famous for its spectacular coastlines. These coastlines are just full of things and places to see. Sometimes visitors have trouble deciding between stunning locations like Split and Dubrovnik along the coastline.

The Porer Lighthouse - The Most Unique Croatian Accommodation

The Porer Lighthouse is available for rent and is set on a tiny island of the same name. The Porer island and its Porer Lighthouse are located 2.5 km or 1.5 miles off the coast of the southern cape of Istria and near the village of Premantura. The Porer Lighthouse was first built in 1833 and had room to accommodate four people in each of its two apartments.

The lighthouse is reached from the small village of Premantura. Premantura is a small village on the southernmost tip of the Istrian Peninsula. The closest city is Pula to the north. The area is full of coves and beaches, and the area is full of ancient history.
