Traveling is all about exploring new places and eating new food. If you've got a tolerance for it, you might travel for spicy food (and hot sauce). And sticking close to home, you might have frequent cravings for Chipotle, which is a very thoughtful chain.

But if you frequently make spicy food at home or order it in restaurants, you might think that you know all about hot dishes. They say that if you can't handle the heat, you should get out of the kitchen... and even hot food lovers who try these dishes might want to run away screaming. They are truly fiery.

Spicy food in the U.S. doesn't hold a candle to what they eat in these countries.

Gaeng Tai Pla Will Be Spicier Than You Might Expect

There's a lot of Indian food you can enjoy even if you're vegan. And when you think of food from India, you might think about curry. Curries are eaten in many other countries, and they can be incredibly hot.

Gaeng Tai Pla is a spicy curry eaten in Thailand. According to The Culture Trip, a server might say that it's "extremely spicy" because they want to make sure that you're prepared and up for it. It's definitely helpful to hear this because if you ordered it without realizing, you would be in for a surprise. The ingredients in this curry include bamboo shoots, yardlong beans, eggplant, pumpkin, fish, and fermented fish innards. The spices include kaffir leaves, turmeric leaves, galangal, and dried chilies.

Vindaloo Will Light Your Mouth On Fire

Vindaloo is a super spicy dish popular in IndiaThe Food Network says it "ranges from scorching hot to surface-of-the-sun hot, depending upon how much hot chili (Kashmiri chili in authentic versions) is used."

If you order a really spicy type, it has Bhut jolokia, which is a "ghost chili" and it's considered the spiciest chili that you could ever eat.

Someone asked just how spicy vindaloo is in a Reddit thread because when they tried to order it at a restaurant, the server pointed them toward tikka masala instead because they weren't sure they could handle the heat level. One of the replies said that if you order vindaloo at an Indian restaurant, it should be the absolute spiciest menu item if it's done correctly. According to Whisk Affair, an "authentic" vindaloo has vinegar, turmeric powder, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and dry red chilies. There are also black peppercorns and garlic cloves, which would definitely make it spicy.

Neua Pad Prik In Thailand Isn't Playing Around

The Daily Meal says that there is a dish in Thailand called Neua Pad Prik. At first glance, you might not be that sure that it's incredibly hot, as it looks like a beef dish. But the beef is served with chiles, which will turn up the heat for sure. A recipe on Importfood.com includes beef, fish sauce, dark sweet soy sauce, red and green jalapeno peppers, garlic, black pepper sauce, and fish sauce.

As The Daily Meal explains, there is an ingredient that makes it super spicy: "don’t forget about all the bird’s eye chiles, which rank somewhere between tongue-meltingly hot and face-meltingly hot on the Scoville scale — or about 100,000-225,000 Scoville heat units."

If you're super brave, then definitely seek out these three super spicy dishes. Don't forget to bring a towel to wipe the sweat off your brows...
