Soda is one of the most popular drinks in the world. People love it and that's why Coca-Cola is one of the most profitable countries in the world. However, despite the plethora of soda we have in the United States, did you know there are some brands we simply don't have access to? There are many brands that are manufactured in specific countries and aren't sold in the States. Here are 10 brands you can't find in the US.

10 Sparletta

The Sparletta brand of soft drink is made from Coca-Cola and manufactured in South Africa. You won't be able to purchase it in the United States because we are not their primary market. However, it is extremely popular in Zimbabwe, Malawai, Lesotho, Kenya, Uganda, and the other countries it is distributed.

The one place you may be lucky enough to find Sparletta in the US is at Epcot in Disney World, they sometimes have international flavors at Club Cool. Sparletta comes in many flavors including Creme, Spraberry, Cherry Plum, Ginger Beer, Apple, Blackcurrant, and Pine Nut.

9 Salty Watermelon Fanta

Salty Watermelon Fanta is a special brand of Fanta that was specifically sold only in Japan. If you like watermelon and you like salt on your watermelon, then maybe you would have liked this strange treat.

Melons do taste good with some salt on them, so the idea of the drink makes sense in theory, but it was one of the stranger additions to the Fanta soda line. Supposedly, the salt was added as a way to help people replenish fluids. The soda was specifically marketed as a refreshing summer drink. It didn't last all that long on the market.

8 Thums Up

This is a brand of cola that is sold only in India. It was introduced after Coca-Cola removed its brand from India but then they relaunched and bought Thums Up as a way to compete with Pepsi. The drink has been referred to as a spicier version than the regular Coke products.

It is very popular though, it is involved in many sponsorships. Several Bollywood actors endorse the Thums Up brand. In terms of sponsorships, Thums Up has sponsored Cricket matches and Indian motorsports. But you can't find this supposedly delectable drink in the United States due to the brand exclusivity to India.

7 Goombay Punch

This soft drink is wildly popular in the Bahamas. Like most sodas, it will probably rot your teeth out if you drink too much of it because it is extremely high in sugar content. But it's tasty. Goombay Punch is flavored to taste like a pineapple soda and there are two different flavors.

The original flavor is pineapple, but you can also buy the Goombay Fruit Champagne. A popular alcoholic beverage in the Bahamas is the Goombay Smash, a rum drink that is made with the soda brand in addition to coconut rum, dirty rum, brandy, and pineapple juice.

6 Black Garlic Soda

Yes, you read that title right. Apparently, this Black Garlic Soda is pretty delicious actually and doesn't really smell like garlic. It is a drink made in Switzerland although you can order it online if you wish. But you can't buy it in a store in the United States. Black garlic is a special kind of garlic that is supposedly good for you.

It tastes somewhat similar to roasted garlic but has more health benefits including being high in antioxidants. When fed to rats, the research found there was a lower level of cholesterol in their lab work.

5 Irn-Bru

Irn-Bru is a fizzy sweet drink found in Scotland. According to some sources, the drink tastes like a cross between cream soda and bubble gum. It is the number one soft drink in Scotland, but Coke and Pepsi are still immensely popular as well.

You won't be able to purchase Irn-Bru in the US as it is a Scotland-only drink and it is manufactured by the A.G. Barr and Company in Scotland. There is a diet version of the drink if you prefer. The color of the drink is also somewhat strange as it appears to be rust-colored. The name of the drink is pronounced like "Iron Brew."

4 Kinley Soda

Kinley soda is primarily available in Central Europe. However, it is also popular in India. It comes in a large range of flavors in addition to offering regular flavors like club soda and tonic water.

This brand of soda is popular because it comes in such a wide variety of flavors including Apple, Cola, Bitter Grapefruit, Bitter Lemon, Bitter Orange, Vanilla Cream, Virgin Mojito, Ginger Ale, and Raspberry. The company is owned by Coca-Cola, as so many of the various sodas are in the world but you, sadly, won't be able to purchase Kinley at any store in the United States.

3 Kuat

Kuat is yet another Coca-Cola owned soda that is famous in Brazil. Although many people in America have rallied to get Guat brought to the United States but it hasn't happened yet. The soda is guarana flavored, hence the name. Due to its popularity, Coke does fancy the idea of branching out with the soda to other countries.

There are two different kinds of Kuat beyond the original flavor. You can also buy the soda with green tea infusions. There is also a diet version of the soda. As far as taste goes, it may not be what you're expecting due to its sharp fruity flavor but it is still delicious.

2 Inca Kola

Inca Kola is a super sweet Peruvian soft drink that was made in 1945 by a British immigrant. The soda has a very high sugar content and a fruity flavor that might closely resemble Sprite to American drinkers due to the drink being made with lemon verbena. But some have also compared the drink favorably to cream soda.

It is an acquired taste as it's a powerful drink and the coloring isn't dissimilar to urine due to the potent yellow color. The Coca-Cola Company does own the Inca Kola trademark in other countries where it is available but not yet in Peru. The drink is a source of pride in the country.

1 Mezzo Mix

This soda is produced in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. It's pretty similar to Coke except the color and taste has more orange added in. Mezzo Mix is primarily known in Germany but it can be found in some other markets. For a while, it was one of the international soda flavors featured at Club Cool in Disney World's Epcot.

There have been a few different kinds of Mezzo Mix, traditional, lemon, a low-calorie kind called Mezzo Mix Zero, and a special Valentine's Day soda called Mezzo Mix Berry Love that had raspberry flavor mixed into the soda instead of orange. However, it was only a limited-edition flavor.
