Everyone remembers being a kid and learning that there certain rules that you have to follow in society. As you get older, you might think that some things are unfair, but you know that this is what you have to do. You quickly figure out that following these guidelines makes things a lot easier for everyone.

Since Disneyland is a hugely popular place for tourists at any time of the year and there are so many parks, it makes sense that there are a lot of rules. Before you enjoy the famous Dole Whip and go on all of the amazing rides, it's definitely a good idea to check out some of the things that you can't do at this magical place

Here are 2o things Disneyland won't allow visitors to do.

20 You Can't Bring Your Pet To Disneyland

It might sound really fun to bring your dog along to your trip to Disneyland, especially if it's a family vacation. But that's not actually something that you can do.

According to Disneyland.disney.go.com, you can't bring your pet to Disneyland. The website says they "may be kept at the on-site kennel." Of course, the exception is service dogs.

19 Having Your Own Chairs Sounds Convenient But It's Not Allowed

Get Away Today says that you can't bring your own chairs to sit in at Disneyland.

If you're driving to Disney with your family or friends, it might seem like a good idea to pack some of those foldable chairs that you sit on in a park or at the beach. But these aren't going to be allowed and you will most likely be told to put them away.

18 You Actually Aren't Allowed To Use A Selfie Stick

According to Get Away Today, you're not allowed to use a selfie stick at Disneyland.

This might be surprising to hear since you definitely want to take as many photos as possible. That's part of the fun of this magical trip. Well, you'll just have to take selfies the old-school way and forget all about the selfie stick.

17 Want To Bring Food And Drink In A Cooler? You're Out Of Luck

According to Get Away Today, you can't bring your own food and drink in a cooler if you're going to Disneyland.

This is an interesting rule since many people like to bring their own food. It helps cut down on the cost of your entire Disneyland vacation since you don't have to pay for snacks and meals. You'll just have to bring food without the cooler.

16 You Can't Use Your FASTPASS All The Time Now

It used to be that you could use your FASTPASS at Disneyland at many different times, but now you have to be more careful about when it'll be allowed.

According to Fodors.com, "With policies shifting in recent months, Disneyland Resort is now stricter on timing for the FASTPASS, a change that has thrown park-goers into a scheduling frenzy."

15 Ice Is A No Go If Bringing Your Own Food

Another thing that Disneyland doesn't allow visitors to do?

Lonely Planet says that you're not allowed to bring ice if you're bringing your own food.  That makes sense since there are no coolers allowed, but it does make certain types of food more challenging. Maybe there's somewhere at Disney that you can get some ice?

14 Moms Can't Bring Big Strollers Into The Parks

If you're a mom spending some time at Disneyland with your family, you have to be careful about following the rules about strollers.

You can't bring super big strollers into the parks. That might be tricky if you have a double stroller or more than one little kid. You'll have to make sure to check out the rules before planning your trip.

13 You'll Need A Pass For The Washroom Soon For One Area

According to Lonely Planet, since the Disneyland resort Star Wars': Galaxy's Edge is becoming so busy, you're going to need a pass in order to use the washroom if you're in that area.

That's interesting to hear about. It does make sense that there would be more rules in the busiest and most crowded areas of the parks.

12 If You Have A B-Day Gift, You Can't Leave Wrapping Paper On (Yes, Really)

Of course, you can celebrate a birthday at Disneyland, but you're not actually allowed to bring a present that has wrapping paper on it.

According to Get Away Today, this is one of the rules at Disneyland, and it's because you need to physically show the employees what you're carrying.

11 Forget About Taking Your Bike So You Can Get Around That Way

Did you want to bring your bike so you can use it during your Disneyland vacation?

It might seem like this is a fun and convenient way to get around, especially since there are various parks and areas. But Disneyland.disney.go.com says that you're not allowed to bring your bike into Disneyland.

10 You Can't Run Around (Which Seems Like A Strange Rule For Kids)

According to Simplemost.com, visitors at Disneyland aren't allowed to run around.

This does seem like a strange rule for kids since there are so many families at Disneyland and part of the fun of being a kid is running around and feeling that freedom. But we do understand since there are so many people at any given time.

9 You Can't Wear Super Baggy Clothes

Disneyland also doesn't allow visitors to wear baggy clothing. According to Disneyland.disney.go.com, you can't wear "Excessively torn clothing or loose-fitting clothing which may drag on the ground and create a potential trip hazard."

We wonder how baggy is considered way too baggy, but as long as you make sure not to wear something super long, you should be good.

8 People Over 14 Can't Wear A Mask, Either

Disneyland.disney.go.com also says that Disneyland has this rule: "Masks may not be worn by Guests 14 years of age or older."

This seems to be because there are so many staff members who are in costume so there shouldn't be any visitors who are also wearing the same kinds of things.

7 If You're Over 14, Don't Wear Costumes

Disneyland.disney.go.com also mentions that if you're over the age of 14, you can't wear a costume, either.

That might be a surprising rule since so many Disney fans definitely do want to have some fun and wear a costume. But it's good to know that this is a rule that the parks have.

6 No Plastic Straws, Please

We're all working hard to reduce our environmental impact and one of the small changes that we can implement daily is to stop using plastic straws.

We might not know that plastic straws aren't something that visitors can use at Disneyland, but this is another thing that we're not allowed to do there, according to Simplemost.com.

5 You're Not Allowed To Bring Balloons And Blow Them Up

Simplemost.com also says that you can't bring balloons and blow them up.

This is good to know in case you do bring some balloons along with you on your trip to Disneyland because you're celebrating someone's birthday. You'll just have to leave the balloons at home and use them another time.

4 Don't Bud People (Or Even Stand In Line After Seeing Friends Or Family There)

According to Simplemost.com, you can't bud people in line at Disneyland.

But here's a surprising part of this rule: you also can't see friends or family that you know in line and go stand there with them. That might not be something that we thought was a problem since we all do that, but it's actually not allowed.

3 There Are Rules About Which Parking Lot You Can Leave Your Car At

Trip Savvy says that you can't just leave your car in any parking lot at Disneyland. You have to be careful to find out which parking lot you should leave it in.

That does seem a bit unfair because parking lots at big places like this can be kind of tricky and confusing sometimes. It'll just take some planning ahead of time.

2 Soon You Won't Be Allowed To Sit On Tons Of Benches As They'll Be Gone

Orange County Register says that because of the new Star Wars area, soon the benches at Disneyland are going to be gone.

This is good to know because you definitely get tired after walking around Disneyland all day. You'll just have to drink lots of coffee (and enjoy lots of Dole Whip) to keep up your energy.

1 You're Not Actually Allowed To Swear

According to Simplemost.com, another thing that visitors at Disneyland aren't allowed to do is swear.

If you swear, does someone come up to you and talk to you about it? This is definitely a question that we have, but hey, we don't want to try it out. We want to have a wonderful and magical time at Disneyland.
