On the tropical coast of Negril in Jamaica sits an award-winning resort that just begs to be visited. Vacationers have their pick in Jamaica from all-inclusive resorts to luxe hotels not far from the beach, but the Rockhouse provides an entirely different experience altogether.

From cliff diving to charming cliffside hotel rooms, there's nothing not to love about this resort. It's a place where adults can be kids for a while and step away from the nuances of everyday life, surrounded by gorgeous vistas and any number of options for a bit of R&R. For couples, the romance is most definitely alive, whether it's a pampered honeymoon or a romantic swim in the Caribbean. Believe it or not, that's not all this awesome resort getaway has to offer potential guests.

The Accommodations Are Truly Unique

Most resorts offer a variety of room styles but at Rockhouse, there are a total of eight - and each one is truly different from the next. Not only do these rooms vary in style, but they also vary in the location around the resort and in their oceanside views.

The Ocean View Suites are in more of a classic resort style with rooms that are 800 square feet in size. They include west-facing views of the sunset over the water and can sleep up to four, including a king-sized bed. The Premium Villa and Villa rooms only differ in size and view, as Premium offers a west-facing sunset, while the regular Villas offer water views. There's also an option for a Loft Villa, which comes with ocean views, but has the added benefit of two additional beds in the loft area of the room, just like the Garden Villas do.

Lastly, the Studio offers ocean views from the balcony and spans 300 square feet, sleeping up to two guests. The Deluxe Standard and Standard rooms don't offer ocean views but make up for that in proximity to the beach as well as their decorative tropical vibe.

Authentic And Fresh Jamaican Food

One of everyone's favorite parts about Caribbean vacations is the food since it's so full of flavor and satisfying on the islands. There's really nothing quite like it and at Rockhouse, they're serving up Jamaican flair and flavor in the best way. Rockhouse Restaurant is one option, and the menu is bright and bold with ingredients fresh from the resort's own garden. The views don't hurt, either - guests have the chance to gaze out over Pristine Cove while enjoying a wonderful meal.

Pushcart Restaurant and Rum Bar is another option for guests and is serving much more of a traditional menu than Rockhouse, with both just as satisfying. From Jamaican Jerk to curried goat, you can't go wrong with either. For drinks, the Organic Juice Bar or the Pool Bar & Grill are great for a refresher throughout the day.

A Swim In The Ocean Or A Day At The Spa

So, what else is there to do in this adult wonderland? Monday through Friday, the resort has a full schedule of activities for guests to take their pick from.

A popular choice is yoga class, which happens every day. Other options include reef tours, introduction to scuba, community tours, painting, cocktail parties, aerobics (including Caribbean-style dance classes), and even cooking classes. Some of these are even complimentary, so guests can take their pick!

Aside from resort-sponsored activities, cliff-diving from the resort's bridge, cave exploration, and even snorkeling are all available right off the resort's shores.
