THETRAVEL VIDEO OF THE DAY

Puerto Vallarta has more to offer than just the nightlife. Read on to find out what else you can find here.

Feel The Good Vibes At Marina Vallarta

Do you want to see alligators while strolling along the boardwalk of a marina? Of course, because that sounds awesome. And as it turns out, you can do just that here.

Visit Marina Vallarta, a marina that is close to downtown Puerto Vallarta. It's got restaurants and seems like a perfect tourist spot, according to this Trip Advisor review: "Great to walk along the marina and enjoy the view of the boats (and the resident crocodiles!) while shopping in the interesting shops, enjoying a meal or drink. Great market on Thursday night, lots of local food and crafts." Another happy tourist mentioned trying some delicious cinnamon buns at the same Thursday evening market.

When you're in the area, there are two restaurants that you can't miss out on. Have breakfast at Mr. Cream which has Huevos Rancheros and waffles. Someone on Trip Advisor mentioned enjoying scrambled eggs with chorizo, too. Try El Coleguita Mariscos and try the seafood, from shrimp to lobster, that people rave about.

Check Out Rancho Capomo

What is Rancho Capomo? It's a village in Las Palmas that offers visitors horseback riding, zip-lining, and ATV tours. According to Inspirock.com, it's 30 minutes away from Puerto Vallarta, so it seems like a great place to visit during your vacation.

You will have to pay for these activities, but it seems like it's worth it as the reviews are so positive. One person posted on Inspirock.com, "Really safe and fun experience with riding horses in the forest and by water" and another posted, "Great horseback riding and lunch experience! Horses were well behaved, trail ride along the river crossing several times was very nice. Waterfall at the end was spectacular."

Trip Advisor puts the Horseback Riding Tour at around $83 USD. You can take a combined Sierra Madre ATV Tour with horseback riding for around $121 USD and it's the same price if you want to go zip lining along with horseback riding. This is a cool place as you can even take a class on how to make food, and it looks like such a gorgeous location. A mom of twins who are nine years old posted on Trip Advisor, "we were offered delicious homemade lemonade before our salsa making lesson which really added to the trip. Then we got to make our own tortillas and enjoy a lovely outdoor lunch on this beautiful property. The kids even played on the playground for a bit prior to our drive back to the hotel."

You'll Love The Los Muertos Pier

There's something charming and old-fashioned about a pier, and Puerto Vallarta has an amazing one. According to The Crazy Tourist, the Los Muertos Pier is a spot that is definitely worth seeing. The website explains how gorgeous it is: "This can be seen for miles for its tall sail-shaped frame, and is photo-worthy at night when bathed in blue light."

Puertovallarta.net says that José de Jesús Torres Vega is the architect behind the pier and he won the Mexican Biannual Architecture Prize. After three years, there was a celebration for the opening of the pier in January 2013, according to Banderasnews.com. It's a great sight to see, with a dock, waterfront promenade, places to sit, lights at night, and places for people to walk.

People planning a trip to Puerto Vallarta will be happy to know that even though the nightlife here is fun and a popular reason to plan a trip here, there are so many other things to do. From a gorgeous pier to a charming marina to an outdoor venue where you can zipline, go horseback riding, and even learn to make salsa, there are many interesting activities that tourists can pick from. Here's to an awesome vacation.
