There are plenty of wondrous perks to being a successful world renowned Hollywood actor. Among them include being adorned and awarded for a talent you excelled at, and having your face plastered all over posters and, of course, on the big screen. At the top of that list of perks, it would have to be all about the travel. Travel in accordance with all the places in the world where an actor may travel to go film a movie, and also all of the places in the world where an actor may travel to just to wind down and enjoy their wealth for the sake of a vacation.

Just ask Ryan Reynolds. As an actor who has been perfecting his craft ever since 1991 and has accumulated a net worth of $75 million, the Deadpool actor has been all over the whole wide world, and back again. His job has taken him to countless states and countries multiple times across the globe. Then, whenever he feels like he needs a recharge, he can use his mountains of wealth and a plane to take a vacation to anyplace he wants to in the world. Here are some of those places.

23 ON VACATION: Visiting HIS HOMETOWN OF VANCOUVER

Ryan Reynolds was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. With the place being his natural bread and butter that he was born under, he makes countless appearances back to his home land.

Sometimes, the most comfortable place for anyone to go on vacation is right at home. Which is why in both 2011 and 2012, Reynolds made back to back trips to Vancouver with his wife Blake Lively as their choice of destination for a holiday vacation.

22 ON SET: ITALY AND ABU DHABI FOR 6 UNDERGROUND

As we speak right now, Ryan Reynolds is currently filming his latest project, 6 Underground. It is set to be an action thriller and will be directed by action aficionado Michael Bay. It will also star Dave Franco and Mélanie Laurent.

In addition to filming in Los Angeles, the film is also filming in several international spots all over the world. Over the last couple months, Reynolds has been seen filming scene in Florence, Italy as well as Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.

21 ON SET: SPAIN FOR BURIED

Buried is arguably Ryan Reynolds most challenging role to date. In it, he plays a man locked underground inside of a wooden coffin with nothing but a lighter and a cell phone.

With the film's one and only location being the inside of a box, it would be easy to assume that the movie could be filmed literally anywhere in the world. However, Reynolds still had to fly overseas to film the movie as it was filmed entirely in Barcelona, Spain over a 16-day period.

20 ON VACATION: A ROMANTIC EVENING IN PARIS WITH BLAKE LIVELY

Paris, France is a city of many names. The City of Lights, The Capital of Fashion, and most notably, The City of Love. In the case of the latter name, it made for the perfect place for Ryan Reynolds to share a quiet evening with his wife in 2016.

That year, he was seen with Blake Lively walking down the cold Paris streets snuggled up together arm in arm. Much like Paris itself, it was a beautiful sight. Reynolds also took the time to see the Eiffel Tower up close, which he tweeted about.

19 ON SET: SOUTH AFRICA FOR SAFE HOUSE

Safe House stars Ryan Reynolds as a rookie CIA agent who hopes to prove his worth within his government agency by manning his first low-level mission. The mission calls for him to guard a Cape Town safe house where the CIA is interrogating a veteran agent - played by the always electric Denzel Washington - who betrayed the CIA.

Cape Town is a coastal city in South Africa and to capture the city's true grit, filming took place primarily in South Africa.

18 ON VACATION: HIKING IN WYOMING WITH SANDRA BULLOCK

Most of us should remember when Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds starred together in the romantic comedy The Proposal, but as Bullock revealed in a red carpet interview with Al Roker, Reynolds had been her "amazing friend ... for ten years." She also took the time to shut down all the rumors that they were dating.

Much of these rumors came about when they were spotted on a hike in Wyoming earlier that year - in 2011 - but as it turns out, it was just two friends taking in the calming Wyoming atmosphere while on vacation.

17 ON SET: LONDON FOR CRIMINAL

Ryan Reynolds plays a small supporting role in the 2016 action thriller, Criminal. Despite his star power, Reynolds takes a smaller backseat to bigger roles filled by Oscar nominated players Tommy Lee Jones, Gary Oldman, and Kevin Costner. Reynolds plays Bill Pope, a CIA agent who deals with a hacker named The Dutchman.

For the few scenes that Reynolds does appear for in the movie, he was spotted filming those scenes while riding on a bike through the streets of London in early September 2014.

16 ON VACATION: BEING A PHOTOG-HUSBAND IN HAWAII WITH BLAKE LIVELY

In spring 2017, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively went on holiday in Hawaii. Lively posted a plethora of photos onto Instagram of all the fun her and her husband had there, but oddly enough, in most of the photos, only Lively is present.

That's because Reynolds was too busy working behind the camera to get his wife's good angles into frame whenever possible. Whenever his wife is the subject of his camera, Reynolds is a natural photographer. Maybe he should direct her in a movie next.

15 ON SET: GERMANY FOR THE VOICES

The Voices gave us a side of Ryan Reynolds that we're not used to seeing. In many ways, we never saw this side of Ryan Reynolds before this film came out. In this dark comedy, Reynolds plays an upbeat schizophrenic man who works at a bubble factory and hears voices in his head; voices that tell him to do terrible things.

While the film's story itself takes place in the United States, the movie was filmed entirely in Berlin, Germany.

14 ON VACATION: ONE LAST TRIP IN SWITZERLAND WITH SCARLETT JOHANSSON

Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson were married from 2008 and 2011. Right before they announced their split, the last time the two were seen in public together was when they went on a trip to Switzerland. They did the same the year before in 2010 when they walked through the Swiss Alps for a European vacation.

Fans were shocked to hear the news of Johansson and Reynolds's split because they seemed so happy together when we last saw them in the same space.

13 ON SET: MASSACHUSETTS FOR R.I.P.D.

Adapted from the comic book series Rest in Peace Department, R.I.P.D. focuses on  Boston Police Department Detective Nick Walker - played by Ryan Reynolds - who gets recruited to work with a U.S. Marshall - played by Jeff Bridges - to hunt down monsters who are disguised as humans on behalf of a secret organization.

Since the story actually takes place in Boston, Massachusetts, the filmmakers must have wanted to emphasize a sense of authenticity given that they actually filmed it in Boston.

12 ON VACATION: WEDDING WITH SCARLETT JOHANSSON AT THE CLAYOQUOT WILDERNESS RESORT

When Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson first got married, they did so at the Clayoquot Wilderness Resort. The resort can be found in Reynolds's home country of good ole Canada.

For those hoping to wed here, the resort also offers additional spa services, dining tents, billiard tents, games tents, library tents, a timber cookhouse, a waterfront lounge, and other luxurious accommodations. Other accommodations include lucrative decorations, incredible photography, and local officiating. While the marriage was short lived, the wedding surely was quite a lovely event.

11 ON SET: GEORGIA FOR THE CHANGE-UP

While Ryan Reynolds is used to frequently playing a confident womanizer in movies, he had the chance of playing that type of character with a twist in The Change-Up. He co-starred with Jason Bateman, who played the typical responsible schmuck character he usually plays. Both men got to switch archetypes when their characters switched bodies.

The movie was filmed solely in Atlanta, Georgia, with the filmmakers bringing their cameras to notable local spots like the Georgia Aquarium and North Point Mall.

10 ON VACATION: HONEYMOON IN VIRGINIA WITH BLAKE LIVELY

In early September 2012, lovebirds Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively finally tied the knot and did so at the Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, SC. However, due to their busy schedules as high profile Hollywood actors, they did not have the time to immediately kick off a honeymoon.

However, it wasn't until halfway into the month that they were able to spend a mini-honeymoon holiday together in Little Washington, Virginia at the Virginia Inn. It was truly a short honeymoon as they returned to their New York City home the next day.

9 ON SET: LOUISIANA FOR SELF/LESS

Self/less saw Ryan Reynolds play a younger version of Ben Kingsley. Not in flashbacks, but in a case where Kingsley's character - a dying business tycoon - saves his life by transferring his soul into a younger body.

The movie was filmed in New Orleans, Louisiana. In the story, Kingsley's character travels to New Orleans to undergo his body changing procedure, so it's fitting that Self/less was actually filmed there. The film showcases notable places in New Orleans like the city's Garden District, Balcony Music Club, and Esplanade Avenue.

8 ON SET: PENNSYLVANIA FOR ADVENTURELAND

Adventureland sees Ryan Reynolds star alongside Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart as employees at a local Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania amusement park during the summer of 1987.

While Pennsylvania does not really house an amusement park called Adventureland - although, oddly enough, there are Adventureland parks in Iowa and New York - the film was really filmed in the story's setting of Pennsylvania. For Adventureland itself, the amusement park Kennywood - found in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania - was used as a backdrop.

7 ON VACATION: GRABBING A BITE TO EAT WITH BLAKE LIVELY IN BARCELONA

In 2013, Ryan Reynolds made his wife tag along with him for a trip to Barcelona, Spain to walk the red carpet of his latest movie, Turbo. That being said, this made their arrival to Barcelona more of a business trip than anything else. However, that does not mean Reynolds did not take the time to get a little bit of pleasure out of his trip.

Perhaps on a whim, Reynolds took Blake Lively out for a romantic evening and a dinner at a local Barcelona restaurant. They were seen coming out of a lucrative local restaurant called Celler De Can Roca.

6 ON SET: NEW YORK CITY FOR DEFINITELY, MAYBE

Definitely, Maybe stars Ryan Reynolds as a newly single dad who tries to explain to his daughter why he and her mother are getting a divorce by telling her stories about his past relationships and detailing everything that led to him meeting her mother.

The story takes place in New York City - it also happens to be a period piece, taking place during the 1990's - and so, it seems apropos to know that the movie was actually filmed in New York City as well.

5 ON SET: WISCONSIN IN THE AMITYVILLE HORROR

Coming off the heels of his breakout appearances in both National Lampoon's Van Wilder and Blade: Trinity, Ryan Reynolds' first big Hollywood starring role was in the 2005 remake of The Amityville Horror.

He stars with Melissa George as a married couple with three children who all unwittingly move into a haunted house. This go-round, filming took the actor to the neck of the woods of Wisconsin; Salem and Silver Lake. It was also filmed at numerous spots in Illinois.

4 ON VACATION: MAKING FREQUENT TRIPS TO CABO SAN LUCAS - IS IT HIS FAVORITE SPOT?

There have been plenty of reports over the years where Ryan Reynolds was spotted in Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. So many reports, in fact, that it leaves us to assume that Cabo could very well be Ryan Reynolds's favorite place to visit in the world. He was first spotted vacationing in Cabo in March 2011 with German model Agnes Fischer.

Giving us all the more reason to speculate that this might be Reynolds's favorite spot in the world was when he sent out a tweet in November 2017 calling Cabo "majestic."
