Parents Forget 5-Year-Old Daughter At German Airport After Vacation

A pair of German parents is in hot water after leaving their 5-year-old daughter at the airport after coming home from vacation.

It’s like a scene out of Home Alone 2, only without the crazy hijinx of a smart-mouthed kid who constantly bamboozles a pair of idiot criminals. And with a much greater chance that child services will arrest someone at the end of it.

A German family heading home from vacation forgot their daughter at Stuttgart airport. The girl, just five years old, was found by concerned travelers and brought to the attention of airport security. She was taken to the airport station where security personnel got on the loudspeaker to notify the parents that their daughter had been found, but they had already exited the airport.

After waiting for some time, Stuttgart police were contacted to notify them of the lost girl and had a couple of officers drop by to pick her up and take her to the station.

So, how could a pair of loving parents forget their beautiful daughter at the airport? Apparently, they had both taken separate cars to arrive at Flughafen Stuttgart, and each thought that their daughter had been picked up by the other.

Eventually, the frantic mother contacted Stuttgart police where she was told that her daughter was waiting to be picked up. The father then arrived to retrieve their forgotten progeny, presumably after an intense and heated discussion with the mother.

It’s unknown how long the 5-year-old was left wandering around the arrivals section of Stuttgart Airport, or how long she was in police custody.

The situation is reminiscent of Home Alone 2, where the young McAllister child is forgotten by his rushing parents trying to catch a plane to Florida. He is quickly forgotten by his family and somehow manages to get on a plane bound for New York City, where he finds himself without any parental supervision.

Unlike the German daughter, Kevin prefers his lack of oversight – especially since he had stolen his father’s credit card and uses it to book a room at the Plaza hotel. Eventually, the criminal duo from the first film appears and attempts to take their revenge on Kevin, where yet more hilarity ensues.

Frankly, it’s a miracle neither of Kevin’s parents was arrested.
