The Empire State Building is one of the most popular tourist attractions in NYC and even stars love going there. And Central Park is another place that you have to see on your first trip to this incredible city. But since NYC is so famous, there are so many places to find a list of things that you have to do on your trip there, and it can feel like too much of the same thing.

While it's important to know the most expensive and cheapest options for a stay in NYC, it's also fun to check out some places that aren't typical tourist spots. NYC is more than the Empire State Building and Central Park. Here are some other cool spots that people don't talk about as much.

Visit B&H Dairy In The East Village For Breakfast Or Lunch

There are many amazing restaurants in the East Village and B&H Dairy is a place that has to be visited. NY Eater says that the owners are Fawzy Abdelwahed, who is of Egyptian-Muslim background, and Ola Smigielska, who is Polish. The menu has a delicious variety of dishes. Even just starting with soup, there's a lentil, cabbage, matzo ball, and hot borscht. Hungry for a sweet breakfast? Order Challah French Toast or Blueberry Pancakes. You can also get Potato Pancakes with sour cream or applesauce. Lunch-friendly dishes include Tuna Melts, Grilled Cheese, and Vegetarian Lasagna.

According to New York Magazine, this is a small place that has been around for several decades, and there is even homemade juice or shots of wheatgrass if you're more health-conscious. This is definitely a place that will make you feel like a resident of New York City and you'll wish that this was your neighborhood joint that you could visit all the time. Of course, there are other restaurants that we'll want to visit (and others to take off our list), but we want to go to B&H Dairy, that's for sure.

Watch Some Outdoor Films In Bryant Park

Bryant Park is famous for being the setting of New York Fashion Week, but this famous outdoor space has something else going on. According to NYC Go, Netflix puts this event on. The movies of a wide genre so you'll definitely find something that appeals to you. This happens on Mondays at five p.m.

Some of the movies in June 2019 included Goodfellas, To All The Boys I've Loved Before, and Big. This would be a really fun thing to do if visiting NYC one summer for a long weekend or a week.

The Elevated Acre Is Super Cool

According to The Crowded Planet, tourists always flock to the High Line, but that's not actually the coolest outdoor space in the city. We definitely want to learn more because finding places that most people don't know about is the best part of travel.

The website says that The Elevated Acre has been around since the '70s and was there before the High Line. You can see the East River and Brooklyn from here, and you can locate it by walking over to 55 Water Street. There will be escalators or stairs, whichever one you want to take.

There are so many incredible areas of New York City to explore, and we're super glad that we know about the Elevated Acre, along with the movies that are screened in the summertime in Bryant Park. We also can't wait to pull up a chair at the counter at B&H Dairy in the East Village.
