Autumn is one of the best times to visit NYC because the weather goes from being hot and humid to quite nice. While many tourists to the area have heard of the important Ellis Island and Liberty Island, there is one other island that’s quite accessible that many people miss. Governor’s Island is a pretty place that has buildings from the colonial and Revolutionary War era of United States History. While the most popular island activity these days is the Jazz Age Lawn Party in the summer, there are also different activities hosted there throughout the year. This park is gorgeous and has a great view of the Hudson River and so many trees you’ll barely realize you’re still in New York City.

7 UNION SQUARE FARMERS MARKET

The farmer’s market in Union Square is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. You can enjoy the small park while you look for goods that range from vegetables to flowers to honey and more.
