This magnificent manor home was named by the Earl of Carrick in honor of his wife Juliet (full name Lady Julianna Butler). It is situated on a hill and gazes of the River Nore below. In 1987 it was purchased by the Killeen Group, who then proceeded to develop the site with its 1,500 acres with a golf course, a hotel, a stud, and some residential buildings. For a time it was affiliated with Hilton Hotels.

The estate boasts a grand par 72, 7,300-yard, or 6,700-meter golf course which has been voted the best Parkland Golf Course in Ireland twice.
