History Of Mount Juliet Estate

This magnificent manor home was named by the Earl of Carrick in honor of his wife Juliet (full name Lady Julianna Butler). It is situated on a hill and gazes of the River Nore below. In 1987 it was purchased by the Killeen Group, who then proceeded to develop the site with its 1,500 acres with a golf course, a hotel, a stud, and some residential buildings. For a time it was affiliated with Hilton Hotels.

The estate boasts a grand par 72, 7,300-yard, or 6,700-meter golf course which has been voted the best Parkland Golf Course in Ireland twice. The golf course offers the full 18 hole course and has been open since 1991.
