10 Waimoku Falls, Maui

Waimoku Falls is a gorgeous waterfall located at the end of Pipiwai Trail. Compared to many waterfalls in Hawaii, Waimoku Falls is pretty powerful and it rises to a height of about 400 feet, making it one of the tallest waterfalls on the island.

While the waterfall is the main subject of focus here, the beautiful bamboo trail that leads to it is stunning and part of what makes a visit to the waterfall so amazing.

9 Papalaua Falls, Molokai

Papalaua Falls is one of Molokai’s stunning waterfalls and perhaps the most spectacular. The waterfall rises to a height of about 1200 feet and is surrounded by gorgeous green sea cliffs of the Papalaua Valley.

Due to its hidden location, Papalaua falls can only be seen via a helicopter or boat and the views are gorgeous at any time of the year.

8 Wailua Falls, Kauai

Located North of Lihua, Wailua Falls is a waterfall so impressive that it has been used in movies such as Fantasy Island. The waterfalls drop for a height of about 85 feet tall into a pool that’s great for swimming and bathing. Wailua Falls is easy to access as it is located just off the road, so one does not need to hike to get the gorgeous views.

7 Akaka Falls, Big Island

Akaka Falls is a powerful 442 feet tall waterfall located in Akaka Falls State Park in Northeastern Hilo Coast. It feels like a paradise at this waterfall as it is surrounded by beautiful green trees and also has a pool below it. To get to this waterfall, visitors have to engage in a 0.4-mile which goes uphill and takes one through an incredibly lush area filled with wild orchids, draping ferns, and bamboo groves. It takes between 1 and 2 hours to complete this hike, and every moment of it is memorable as one will also get to see Kahuna Falls

6 Waianuenue Falls, Big Island

Also known as the rainbow falls, this water is surrounded by beautiful trees, and it flows over a stunning lava cave 80 feet into a large pool. This waterfall is also known as rainbow falls, as a beautiful rainbow can be seen at the foot of the falls every morning. Visitors come here to see the waterfall from one of a lookout which also offers views of the surrounding dense jungle and the stunning cliff.

5 Waipoo Falls, Kauai

Waipoo Falls is one of the impressive sights that can be seen in the impressive Waimea Canyon. The fall rises to a height of 800 feet, and it is characterized by impressive views of canyons and trees. Several trails lead to different lookouts of the waterfall, and each of the trails offers a unique perspective of the waterfall and the surrounding canyon.

4 Hanakapaiai Falls, Kauai

Hanakapaiai falls is a waterfall in Napali Coast that most people do not get to see because it is hidden deep in the Hanakapiai Valley. To reach the waterfall, one has to hike about 2 miles on the Kalalau trail and then divert into the Hanakapiai Falls trail, which then leads to the 410-foot tall fall which has a small pool below it.

While the waterfall itself is beautiful, the beautiful bamboo trail that leads to it is also what makes the whole experience here amazing.

3 Moaula Falls, Molokai

Moaula Falls is a gorgeous waterfall located in Halawa Valley. Like many waterfalls in Hawaii, this 250-foot waterfall is surrounded by beautiful trees, and it also has a beautiful pool which is great for swimming. The waterfall is most often seen with helicopter tours, but one can also take a guided hike to it. While helicopter tours offer the best views of the waterfalls, hiking is the best way to get more intimate with the waterfall. It is also a great way to learn more about Halawa Valley, which is believed to be one of the oldest inhabited places in Hawaii.

2 Manawaiopuna Falls, Kauai

Located in Hanapepe Valley, Manawaiopuna Falls is a gorgeous waterfall characterized by a powerful flow and surrounding lush forests. Rising to a height of 400 feet, this waterfall is so attractive that it was used in some scenes of the 1993 movie - Jurassic Park. Unfortunately, Manawaiopuna Falls can only be accessed via a helicopter tour and that alone is an exciting experience worth having when in Kauai.

1 Weeping Wall, Kauai

Weeping wall is arguably the most beautiful waterfall on the island of Kauai. This is not just a single waterfall but a collection of waterfalls that flow down a part of the massive Mount Waialeale and create a gorgeous sight that seems like a painting. The best way to see this waterfall is by helicopter, as it offers a clearer view of all the waterfalls. One can, however, also see the waterfalls via the challenging three-mile Blue hole trail that goes through the lush forests and leads to the base of the mountain.
