Krispy Kreme is not messing around this year when it comes to its round of fresh holiday donuts. Not only are they introducing a new holiday trio, but the donut brand is also bringing back an old favorite. Needless to say, fans of these donut confections are losing their minds over what will most definitely be a ~festive~ holiday for donut lovers.

Other popular donut chains such as Dunkin' have always consistently put out their own holiday donuts but this year, Krispy Kreme is breaking all the rules and pushing the limits when it comes to what can be done with a single donut. Not only is each sweet treat decorated in a way that makes us want to display it over our mantle rather than eat it, but the fillings this year are enough to have us lining up at 5 AM for the first holiday box.

Not everything is looking bright and cheery this year but one look inside this Nicest Holiday Collection box and suddenly, things are beginning to start looking up.

The Contents Of The Happiest Box On Earth

While only two of the donut trio in the Nicest Holiday Collection box are new, the third one is a fan favorite (and no, that's not the donut that's making a re-appearance as a fan fave later on in the month of December). Many will remember this donut as being a chocolate-filled masterpiece that was dipped in red icing, decorated with sugar, and finished off with a brown belt, gold buckle, and brown buttons to resemble Santa's belly (and we've all felt this as a mood after eating a few Krispy Kremes, haven't we?). The revival stops there, however, as the two newest donuts are sure to blow your mind.

The first is simple but so beautifully done that it's entirely unclear whether we're meant to eat it or hang it on the tree. With a simple dip of white icing as the background, a perfectly abstract tree is drawn on the front, complete with a gold star on top and festive sprinkles to serve as ornaments. The fun doesn't stop there, though - the inside of this donut is filled with red velvet cake batter. The white icing on top is actually a cream cheese icing, making this entire donut feel as though you've just taken a bite into the tastiest deep-fried red velvet cake of your life. If that's not festive in both flavor and appearance, then we're not sure what is... At least, we weren't until we found out what the second new donut was.

The second is a square-shaped donut which Krispy Kreme has appropriately called the Present Donut, as its decorations would imply. This donut is far from simple as has a topping of green icing, complete with red stripes and a tag with a bow that says 'nice' on the top. Just when everyone thought this donut couldn't get any more attractive, Krispy Kreme has revealed that it's filled with a sugar cookie cream. At this point, you're probably wondering how to get your hands on these delicious, decadent puffs of perfection, yes?

How To Snag One Of These Boxes

Krispy Kreme will be releasing these boxes the day after Thanksgiving (Friday, November 27th) and they'll be available all the way through until Christmas Eve (December 24th) of this year. So while there's plenty of time to get your hands on one, you might want to consider stopping by after December 16th - because another fan favorite is due to come back on that date, as well. The famed Gingerbread Glazed donut will be hitting stores on the 16th, coming back for a limited time. Even more exciting is the date of December 12th, when Krispy Kreme is offering its 'Day of the Dozens' offer again this year. While it's uncertain right now what that deal will be, we're sure that more is to be announced in the coming weeks as we near closer to December.

Krispy Kreme also has a special surprise for delivery drivers, as well. As a 'thank you' to all the drivers who have worked so hard throughout this past year (and always), stores are participating in giving out a free dozen donuts to any drivers who show up either in uniform or with their ID badges on November 30th (Cyber Monday). There aren't many more things that are as festive as the joy of giving back, and Krispy Kreme seems to have a solid handle on celebrating the holidays this year.
