Kanye West has never been a vacation type of guy (which is unfortunate considering that he was hospitalized due to stress and exhaustion back in 2016 while on tour). As much as Kanye loves being a workaholic who might be just a little bit too passionate about his music, Kim makes sure that Kanye gets as much downtime as he possibly can when he needs it. Kanye West is well known for balling out on big purchases for the lovely lady on his arm. To close out 2018, he went big again for Kim Kardashian as part as his Christmas gift to her.
While most of us spent Christmas this year gifting our spouse with some shiny new earrings or a brand new pair of shoes, Kanye secretly kicked out $14 million on a Miami apartment and turned it into a "billionaire beach bunker" for his wife, according to an exclusive Page Six source.
Prior to the big Christmas day, the couple spent $1.3 million to throw a Christmas Eve party at their $60 million compound.
24 CABIN HOLIDAY AT GOZZER RANCH CLUB
This past July, after he was on the bad side of some controversial moments the past month - including kickstarting an ill-conceived beef with Drake and some questionable comments made on TMZ - Kanye decided it was time for another getaway vacation with the wife.
The two fled to a $1.85 million cabin in Idaho at Coeur d'Alene during the Fourth of July holiday weekend. Idaho seems to be a trending sightseeing site as more recently, other celebs like Harry Styles, Wayne Gretzky, and Adam Levine paid visits to the super conservative community.
23 A BABYMOON IN RIO DE JANEIRO
Rio de Janeiro in Brazil has become something of a special spot for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. The two first visited the city of Brazil in February 2013 in order to celebrate the discovery that Kim was pregnant with the couple's first child. They were seen visiting the city's famous Christ the Redeem statue. They were also sightseeing and attended the Rio Carnival with Will Smith.
During the same visit, the couple and parents to be were spotted making out on a balcony. How romantic.
22 KIMYE GOING TO THE BAHAMAS TOGETHER
2017 marked the year that Kanye West turned 40 years old. To mark the momentous occasion, he, his wife Kim, their children, and Kanye's friend Don Crowley and his family all flew out to the Bahamas for one big birthday blow out.
For their four day trip, the families stayed at Baker's Bay Golf and Ocean's Club where the Kardashian-West connection rented out the whole island. The price tag for the luxurious festivities was reported to be a whopping $440,000.
21 A FAMILY SKI TRIP IN ASPEN, COLORADO
Back in December 2013, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West went on a big family vacation to Aspen, Colorado. The couple was accompanied by their daughter North West, Kourtney Kardashian, her children Mason and Penelope, Scott Disick, and of course, no Kardashian family get together is complete without everyone's favorite mom-ager Kris Jenner.
When they got there via a private plane, the Kardashian-West-Disick connection attended a ski resort. Kanye, Kim, and Kourtney Kardashian were spotted at the Jerome Hotel where they hit the slopes for a bit.
20 ANOTHER SNOWY SKI TRIP, THIS TIME IN DEER VALLEY, UTAH
A year after their family ski trip in Aspen, Kim and Kanye took another ski vacation, this time only between themselves and daughter North West. Also this time, they took shelter in a cabin in Deer Valley, Utah.
The Kardashian-West couple might have been hassled by the local fans during their Aspen, Colorado visit one too many times considering the extent the two went to not be seen during their Utah trip. While staying at the Montage Deer Valley, they stayed there under anonymous aliases. Respectively, Kim and Kanye booked themselves rooms under the names Snow White and Snow Man.
19 A WYOMING WORK SESH / VACAY / LISTENING PARTY
Kanye West is a unique musician in that while a lot of artists can create music in any old studio, Mr. West must be engrossed in his surroundings and experience new situations before putting a pen to pad. He did that earlier this year when he brought his family on a getaway to Wyoming.
After taking in the vibes that Wyoming has to offer, he was able to record new music for his latest album Ye. With his wife by his side, Kanye premiered the album at a live listening party.
18 A VACATION AT AN UNDISCLOSED BEACH
As we mentioned earlier, Kanye was never the vacation type until he got with Kim. Even during their beach vacation this past summer, Kim had to push him into enjoying some fun in the sun. “On vacay he just likes to sleep but I got him out for 5 mins for a pic,” Kim captioned for an IG post of the two.
It is unknown which beach the Kardashian-West family attended nor where in the world they were as both Kanye and Kim failed to clarify. For what it's worth, Kim had spent the few days beforehand snapping pics on a yacht with some friends in Miami.
17 GETAWAY VACAY + WORK SESSION IN UGANDA
Similar to their getaway to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Kanye West went to Uganda in late 2018 to record music for his next album, Yandhi. With his wife and kids by his side, the trip doubled as a learning and recording experience for the artistic side of him, and it worked as some much-needed family vacation time for the family man.
While in Uganda, Kanye also visited an orphanage where he gifted the children with hundreds of gifts. He also paid a visit to Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni with his wife by his side.
16 A SPECIAL TRIP VISIT IN TOKYO
2018 was a year where Kim Kardashian and Kanye West spent a lot of time together travelling the world. Last November, they went to Tokyo, Japan. While there, the couple made sure to talk to famous artist Takashi Murakami - who designed the cover art for Kanye's albums Graduation and Kids See Ghosts - and snap a pic with him.
While in Tokyo, the couple also made sure to strike a pose and snap another pic with famed makeup mogul Makeup mogul Kristen Noel Crawley.
15 FAMILY TRIP TO PARK AT MURCHISON FALLS IN UGANDA
His trip to Uganda was more than just a recording session and a learning experience in regards to the land for Kanye West. His visit also served as more time to spend with his family. Something that the musician doesn't get enough of when he's spending so much of his time either making music, producing clothes, or touring around the world.
One of the highlights of his trip to Uganda was when he and his family jotted on over to a local Ugandan national park called Murchison Falls.

In 2012, at a time when the two had just started dating, one of their first big public outings as a couple was when they went to Punta Mita, Mexico for a luxurious vacation.
While there, they had a watersports adventure where they had a zip lining session with Joe Francis. Francis also hosted a dinner where the blossoming Kimye couple was in attendance.
13 KIM AND KANYE OUT FOR A WALK IN HAWAII
In 2012, Kim and Kanye went on a romantic vacation to Honolulu, Hawaii. While there, they made visits to Yogurtland three days in a row to pick up some frozen yogurt. They must have really loved that yogurt.
Two years later in 2014, Kim and Kanye returned to Hawaii to celebrate Kim's 34th birthday. As it turns out, the Hawaii visit was another one of Kanye's surprise getaway for his bae as Kim Kardashian posted the hashtag caption to Twitter #BdaySurpriseGetaway.
12 KIM IN MIAMI ON YACHT WITH KIDS BUT NO KANYE
Earlier this year back in August 2018, Kim Kardashian showed up on to mogul David Grutman's yacht in Miami to join her friends for a day out across the sea. While Kanye West was absent for this trip, Kim made sure to allow her oldest children - North and Saint - to tag along with her.
A few days later, Kim and her kids were joined by her husband and father to those Kanye. This time, at an undisclosed beach.
11 KIM MISSES KANYE IN BALI, BUT AT LEAST SHE HAS AN ELEPHANT
In late October to early November, Kim Kardashian took a family vacation to Bali alongside her sisters Khloe and Kourtney, the latter's baby daddy Scott Disick, and all of their children. Because he was too busy working, Kanye West was absent from the trip.
One thing that was not absent, however, was the giant elephants that coast along Bali. Kim Kardashian took the time to ride one of these elephants during the trip. Funnily enough, another pic was captured of Kim running away from the elephant scared out of her mind.
10 PUNTA MITA AGAIN, THIS TIME WITH JASMINE SANDERS BUT NO KANYE
While Punta Mita, Mexico was somewhat of a special and significant travel destination for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, she did not bring him along when she revisited the place earlier this year. In fact, she did not bring any of her family members along for the ride.
Instead, the vacation getaway was shared with Kim along with her girlfriend group. Among those friends was Jasmine Sanders, a German-American model and social media personality. She's perhaps better known by her fans as the Golden Barbie.
9 ANOTHER ASPEN SKI TRIP WITH SOFIA RITCHIE
The Kardashian-West connection decided to close out 2018 in style by going back to Aspen, Colorado for another ski trip. This time, Kim and Kanye went to Colorado with Kendall Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick, and interesting enough, Scott's girlfriend Sofia Richie.

8 CELEBRATING FOURTH OF JULY WITH 2 CHAINZ AND HIS FAMILY
Due to their working relationship in the music industry - most notably on collaborations like "Mercy" and "Birthday Song" - Kanye West and 2 Chainz have become great friends. By association, their respective wives Kim Kardashian and Kesha Ward are good friends as well. The West-Kardashian couple attended 2 Chainz and Ward's wedding back in August.
A year prior during the summer of 2017, the whole West-Kardashian fam celebrated the Fourth of July at the 2 Chainz-Ward residence.
7 KIM'S FAMILY VACATION WITHOUT KANYE IN COSTA RICA
Kim and the rest of the Kardashian clan take part in an annual family vacation. For the 2017 edition, the Kardashians took a trip to Costa Rica. While Kourtney brought her on-again-off-again mate Scott Disick to tag along and Kris Jenner brought boyfriend Corey Gamble, Kim's husband Kanye was noticeably absent.
It was reported by Celebrity Laundry that Kim would not allow Kanye to come to Costa Rica with her because of the "erratic behavior" he'd been displaying earlier that year. Shortly after Kim was robbed in Paris, Kanye was hospitalized in the wake of mental struggles.
6 KANYE SURPRISES KIM WITH BDAY VACAY IN ITALY
In 2012, just as their romance started to blossom, Kanye West gifted his new girlfriend with a surprise trip to Italy for her 32nd birthday. This trip saw Kanye escort Kim Kardashian around the city's premiere cities: Rome, Venice, and Florence.
