9 RMS Queen Mary

8 Lizzie Borden House

Anyone familiar with all things spooky and eerie will already be familiar with the story of Lizzie Borden. Lizzie Borden was a woman who lived in Fall River, Massachusetts in the late 19th century when she allegedly did the unthinkable: took the lives of both her parents.

The family home where this act took place is now a bed and breakfast and museum. The furnishings aren't the original ones that the Borden family had, but everything is Victorian style. The history of this home has lead many visitors to claim that the ghosts of the Borden family never left their home.

7 Stanley Hotel

There are so many different spooky movies that are based on real-life events and locations. The Shining is a movie that was based on a book by Stephen King and is set in the Stanley Hotel in Colorado, just outside of Denver.

The hotel was built in 1909 by inventor Freelan Stanley and his wife, Flora. The two most haunted rooms in the hotel are said to be Room 217 and Room 428 where guests find their clothes folded or see a ghostly cowboy sitting on the bed.

1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa is located in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and calls itself "America’s Most Haunted Hotel." This is a title that they're happy to back up with several different ghostly tours and have been investigated by the Ghost Adventures crew and many other paranormal investigators.
