Gordon Ramsay will launch his third restaurant in Hong Kong in early October. The Scottish chef, known for expletive-laden tirades on his reality television shows, Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and Hell’s Kitchen, will open Maze Grill in Hong Kong’s exclusive Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui, an urban area in southern Kowloon, Hong Kong.

Dining Concepts is partnering with Gordon Ramsay to bring his Maze Grill concept to the new Ocean Terminal extension of Hong Kong’s Harbour City in October,” the company said.

Sandeep Sekhri, the founder of Dining Concepts, has been instrumental in shaping the Hong Kong dining scene in the last 13 years.

"I see what is missing in Hong Kong," he says. "Is there a void that we can fill? Is there a niche market? Not everything that works in North America or Europe might work in Hong Kong. So we have to be very careful in choosing the next project because real estate is limited, time is limited, resources are limited."

Maze Grill Hong Kong will be Ramsay’s third restaurant with Dining Concepts, after Bread Street Kitchen, which opened in Lan Kwai Fong in 2014, and London House, which opened on the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront in 2015.

“Following on past successful collaborations, including Bread Street Kitchen and London House, Dining Concepts is keen to share Gordon Ramsay’s newest concept in Asia for the first time,” the company added.

Ramsay’s Hong Kong restaurant will be a branch of Ramsay’s Maze Grill restaurants in London, where he has three locations: Mayfair, Park Walk, and Royal Hospital Road.

According to its website, Maze Grill specializes in "irresistible steak or sushi," inspired by iconic Manhattan grills "to deliver rare breed steaks, fish, and poultry."

If the Maze Grill in Hong Kong lives up to the reputation of its predecessors, it should well. In a review for the Evening Standard, renowned food critic Grace Dent wrote, “Nothing on this menu, nor anything that happens during service, would be remotely challenging to a seasoned diner, but everything was damn good."
