A hotel in Canada is taking the idea of getting lucky to extremes. Victoria-based Hotel Zed is promoting a Nooner incentive on Feb. 14 with a prize package worthy of a passionate coupling. In short, couples who book a room at the hotel between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and are graced with a baby after nine months will win an annual stay every Valentine's Day for the next 18 years.

Also open to LGBTQ couples

“We created the Nooner to offer a Valentine’s Day to remember," said Hotel Zed President and CEO Mandy Farmer. "With the added possibility of a free stay for the next 18 years, a romantic Valentine’s night on us might become a new annual tradition for lucky couples this year. Definitely beats a stale box of chocolate or another flower bouquet.”

The Nooner offer is open to anyone interested in taking Hotel Zed up on the deal, including those who share LGBTQ identities and orientations. The stipulation of a new arrival nine months after the Valentine's Day booking is still in effect for those seeking the grand prize.

Interested parties still have to pay for the check-in, which Hotel Zed has reduced to $59 for the occasion, obviously based on double occupancy. The deal is also being offered by another Hotel Zed in Kelowna, which is in the same Canadian province of British Columbia as the Victoria operation. Both hotels will also offer incentives to stay overnight if couples need more than four hours. Kelowna's deal starts at $89, with Victoria's package priced at $129.
