Tentsile Introduces Floating Tent That Lets Travelers Camp Out On Open Water

The world is always changing, and so are the definitions that describe each activity. For video games, experts introduced the concept of Wii, an interactive game play; and currently, with even more advanced technology, we don't even have to physically drive our own cars.

Technology is making the world evolve, and while you wouldn’t think that the idea of camping can get enhanced - well, it can. After first launching it’s triangular hanging tent a few years ago, Tentsile is back to introduce yet another exciting concept for campers.

A three-element shelter that also works as a ground tent; this new suspended tree tent by Tentsile will also allow customers to float on the water. Yes, that’s right - a camp that floats on the water.

Dubbed the “Universe”, the style’s trademark triangular shape is going to be used with their three straps as a grounds for hanging the tree. It has multiple entry options and even has a trapdoor in the centre of the floor.

“One thing we enjoy at Tentsile is pushing boundaries, so we’re excited to unveil our newest offering,” said Alex Shirley-Smith, the founder and CEO of the company. “This world-first addresses the need to have an all-terrain, multi-use, fun-packed product that encourages both adventurous play and basic practical needs in any environment.”

The maximum weight for the floating tent is 880 pounds, and the inflation of the Universe floor must be set to 15 PSI before customers are able to float it on the water.

Tentsile doesn’t sell paddles, which means the direction that the raft goes in is entirely up to you. Make sure you are comfortable with navigating before deciding to go on the float. While the idea of it may seem extremely fun, it’s also imperative to follow safety regulations.

It’s also important to remember not to sleep in the Universe when it is on the water. Like every movie ever made, water and sleeping isn’t a good mix, so don’t put yourself in a situation where you wake up in the middle of a lake with no idea of your surroundings.
