Disney wouldn’t be anything without its princesses, and that’s why the company has added multiple attractions to its theme parks featuring these royal ladies. From giant stage productions to easy-going rides, Disney Princesses have all sorts of experiences located throughout the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios and that’s what we’re diving into today.
In this ranking, we’ll be considering any normal operating ride or show in Disney World that features a Disney Princess. That being said, we won’t be including meet-and-greet opportunities, character dining, activities that cost extra fees, nighttime spectaculars, or parades. Yes, there’s still a bunch to consider even without these additional opportunities.
It's time to journey into the magic as we look at how Disney World’s princess attractions stack up.
10 Prince Charming's Regal Carousel
You can't miss this 90-horse carousel attraction, which is located smack-dab in the middle of the Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland. Formerly named Cinderella's Golden Carrousel, this attraction is themed after Cinderella's iconic 1950s film.
Painted scenes from the classic animation can be seen around the top of the ride. Meanwhile, songs from a variety of Disney films including "Someday My Prince Will Come," from Snow White, "Be Our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast, and "Chim-Chim-Cher-ee" from Mary Poppins play as the attraction spins around.
9 Enchanted Tales With Belle
Located in the Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland, this attraction lets younger guests can take part in an interactive story told by Belle and friends.
Attendees begin their journey in Maurice's workshop, then venture through a magic mirror into the Beast's library, where Belle and Lumiere enchant the audience with a tale. Though the attraction is better suited for kids, it's still adorable and full of unforgettable Disney magic.
8 For The First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
Located at Echo Lake in Disney's Hollywood Studios, this show lets guests experience the music, enchantment, and humor of Frozen. The plot of the 2013 film is retold by Arendelle's royal historians, and characters including Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff drop by throughout each performance to join in on the fun.
Yes, you better be ready to sing "Let It Go" at the top of your lungs. The theater becomes filled with "snow" as the finale plays, making this frosty adventure one that's too cool to pass up on.
7 Mickey’s Royal Friendship Fair
Just because Mickey's in the name doesn't mean this attraction isn't full of Disney Princess. In fact, the stars of Disney's modern animated classics including Rapunzel and Flynn from Tangled, Tiana, Naveen, and Louis from The Princess and the Frog, and Olaf, Anna, and Elsa from Frozen all take the stage during this production.
The show takes place at the front of Cinderella's Castle at various times throughout the day, and the characters perform the music from their films. It all ends with the princesses and the Mickey Mouse gang performing "With a Smile and a Song" from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in unison.
6 The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure
This Omnimover dark ride sends guests under the sea and into the world of The Little Mermaid. It began running near the opening of the Magic Kingdom's New Fantasyland in 2012.
The attraction features many scenes from the animated 1989 film including the "Under the Sea" song sequence, Ariel's mermaid-to-human transformation, and Eric and Ariel's seaside wedding. The animatronics are beautifully painted, and every room is bursting with life.
It's also worth mentioning that the wait time for this ride is usually low. We're definitely not going to complain about that.
5 Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Ariel's Magic Kingdom ride isn't the only Little Mermaid attraction to exist at Disney World. Her stage show, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, has been making itself a home at Hollywood Studios since 1992.
This 17-minute show features live actors, a colorful cast of sea creature puppets, and a giant 12-foot tall Ursula that perform the film's most popular songs. You can also expect a range of special effects including lasers and light rain, which is sprinkled over the audience at select moments.
4 Mickey’s PhilharMagic
This is another one of those Mickey-named attractions that features many of Disney's most popular princesses.
PhilharMagic is a 4-D film located in Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom. The show is 12-minutes long and follows Donald Duck on a journey through various climactic moments in classic re-animated Disney movie scenes.
One part of the film has water spraying at guests as they journey under the sea with Ariel for "Part of Your World." Another has the theater becoming filled with the scent of apple pie as Belle dines during "Be Our Guest." Later, you can ever feel the wind blow through your hair as Aladdin and Jasmine share "A Whole New World" together.
3 Beauty And The Beast Live On Stage
Beauty and the Beast has its own Broadway-style production located on Sunset Boulevard in Disney's Hollywood Studios. This musical retells the 1991 animated classic through a cast of live actors, memorable songs, and elaborately decorated sets.
The original version of the show, which ran from 1991 to 2001, featured "Be Our Guest," "Belle"/"Gaston," "Something There," "The Mob Song," and "Beauty and the Beast." The current version adds "Prologue: The Enchantress," "Belle (Reprise)," and the Celine Dion/Peabo Bryson pop version of "Beauty and the Beast" to the mix.
2 Frozen Ever After
This enchanting boat ride, which is located in the Norway Pavillion in Epcot, sends guests on a Frozen adventure through the Official Summer Snow Day festival.
The attraction is filled with realistic animatronics, snowy scenes, and classic songs from the animated movie including "Do You Want to Build a Snowman," "Let It Go," "For the First Time in Forever," and "In Summer." Though some fans were disappointed when the addition of this ride caused the popular Malestrom to close down, many were impressed by how put-together it ended up being.
1 Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
The greatest princess attraction in all of Disney World, located in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom, sends guests on a high-speed journey through the hills and into the dwarfs' mine. Each ride vehicle features special technology that rocks each kart back and forth. Additionally, the coaster slows down mid-way and becomes a dark ride filled with sparkling gems and animatronic versions of the dwarfs.
If you're asking yourself, "But where's Snow White?" don't fret too much. As the coaster cruises to a close, you'll find a certain fair princess and Dopey dancing in a cottage nearby.
