Disney’s Hollywood Studios, located inside the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL, brings the exciting world of entertainment to life by featuring attractions themed around film, TV, music, and theatre. Though the park has gone through its fair share of changes over the years, having originally opened with a fully operational production studio inside of it, the location continues to grow by instead focusing on Disney’s biggest franchises including Toy Story, Frozen, and Star Wars.

We’re here to look at all the magic that’s made here by stacking up the park’s top attractions. Though we won’t be using any strict ranking criteria, we will be taking the thrill, nostalgia, and overall quality of each attraction into account. Additionally, while we’ll be considering all regularly operating shows, rides, and motion simulators, we’ll be ignoring nighttime spectaculars and seasonal events.

With that said, it’s time to pack your bags and head to the theme park; Here is how we rank the top attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

10 Muppet*Vision 3D

This 3D film attraction brings the enchantment of Jim Henson’s Muppets to life.

The show has Kermit the Frog giving guests a tour of Muppet Studios, where many of his friends are prepping for a show. However, craziness soon ensues, and the audience eventually gets “sucked up” by a vacuum cleaner. Thankfully, the gang gets it together and eventually ends things with a giant firework spectacular.

With special effects and additional narration from audio-animatronics in the theater, the fun (and sentimental) feel of this one is hard to match.

9 For The First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration

This Frozen-themed attraction has guests packing into a theater where they’ll get to join in on the animated film’s biggest hits.

Though the show is narrated by Arendelle’s royal historians (who are hilarious, by the way), special guests including Anna, Kristoff, and Elsa join the stage at random times to sing along.

The 30-minute production ends with a flurry of “snow” raining down on the audience, perfectly tying all the themed elements together.

8 Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular

This live stunt show, based on the Indiana Jones franchise, has actors recreating movie scenes from the original film and a director cutting in to explain the magic behind each of them.

Select audience members will also get the chance to participate, giving the experience an immersive feel. With acrobatics, explosives, and fire, this production definitely packs that thrill factor.

7 Slinky Dog Dash

This Toy Story Land roller coaster sends guests on an exciting ride on the back of Andy’s Slinky Dog.

The outdoor thriller features two launches, one at the beginning and one near the middle. This has the vehicles rushing over the track at speeds of up to 40 mph.

The experience comes to a close with a serenade from an audio-animatronic Wheezy the Penguin. The cuteness factor is real.

6 Beauty And The Beast Live On Stage

This Broadway-style stage show enchants guests with the story and soundtrack of 1991’s animated Beauty and the Beast.

The production features a series of live actors, and while most of the music is prerecorded, Belle and Gaston’s lines are performed live.

With colorful costumes, enchanting sets, and large-scale dance numbers, this show is one that shouldn’t be passed by.

5 Millennium Falcon: Smugglers' Run

Hollywood Studio’s newest ride takes guests on an exciting mission via the Millennium Falcon.

Sets of four guests pile into the motion-simulator cockpit, where they’ll be assigned roles including pilot, engineer, and gunner. Soon after the flight begins, the team is required to push buttons and steer in order to guide their ship through the galaxy.

The interactivity of the ride is exciting, and the intimate experience is one that can’t be found anywhere else in the park.

4 Star Tours — The Adventure Continues

There’s a certain kind of nostalgia associated with Star Tours that can’t be replicated. As fun as Smugglers Run is, nothing can compare to boarding a StarSpeeder alongside C-3PO and a theater full of guests.

Soon after buckling in, the journey begins when a villain from the Galactic Empire detects a rebel spy on board and sends your vehicle on a wild escape. This happens on a giant screen in front of you, and combined with the theaters tilting effects and 3D glasses, it feels legit.

What’s even more exciting about this attraction is the high re-ride value. Because the scenes are randomized every time, your experience will be one of 384 different possible ride combinations.

3 The Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror

This terrifying dark ride drops guests down an old Hollywood hotel elevator shaft.

Based on the late ‘50s to early ‘60s anthology TV series, The Twilight Zone, guests learn of a group of people who mysteriously disappeared after their elevator tower was struck by lightning. Visitors are then ushered into that same elevator for a new ride.

Though the slow-moving supernatural portion of the journey is fun, the real thrill kicks in after the ride vehicle is dropped at random from 13 stories at speeds of up to 39 mph.

2 Toy Story Mania!

This 4-D interactive dark ride lets guests compete in a series of carnival midway games in the Toy Story universe.

To do this, riders pile into spinning vehicles that contain stationary shooters with pull-strings. They're then whisked away through a series of screen rooms where they compete for a high score in games like Rex and Trixie’s Dino Darts, the Green Arm Men’s Shoot Camp baseball throw, and Buzz Lightyear’s Flying Tossers ring toss.

The competitive element, beautiful graphics, replayability, and clever design have this one nearing the top of the list.

1 Rock ’N’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

Thrill and nostalgia blare through the speakers of this crazy enclosed roller coaster. Based on Aerosmith, the attraction has guests rushing to the band’s concert via the back of a stretch limo. As this happens, guests are rocked by a random song blaring out of their train's 120 speakers including “Walk This Way,” “Sweet Emotion,” or “Dude (Looks Like a Lady).”

The ride itself has guests launching to speeds of 57 mph in under three seconds. They’re immediately pulled into a series of inversions, making this attraction the most exciting in all of Disney World.
