Disney is always updating, changing, and adding to its incredible theme parks around the world, making these tourist attractions even more inviting and thrilling. And recently, some huge announcements were made at the D23 Expo, getting fans excited about what is to come.

From a new Star Wars adventure to rides based on popular animated flicks to the transformation of Epcot and a headquarter for superheroes, these 10 additions that are listed out down below, which will be popping up at Disney parks around the globe, are definite reasons to visit or revisit all of these magical destinations!

10 Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser

The Walt Disney World Resort will be getting the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, which will allow guests to stay on a starship for two nights, filled with immersive and interactive experiences.

Called the Halcyon, this ship will be filled with well-known characters from the Star Wars movies, as well as awesome places to explore, such as an atrium, the bridge, the passenger cabin, a lounge, an engineering room and launch pods. A stay aboard the Galactic Starcruiser will even give people the opportunity to train with a lightsaber… something all fans of this franchise have dreamed of doing!

9 World Showcase

Seeing the different countries at Epcot is a fan-favorite activity, and it’s getting even better… An attraction based on the story of Mary Poppins will be coming to the World Showcase area at Epcot. The first of its kind, it will be located on Cherry Tree Lane in the United Kingdom pavilion.

The France pavilion will also be getting some new attractions, such as Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along in January 2020, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in the summer of 2020. There will be two new films based on locations, too: Canada Far & Wide in Circle-Vision 360 and Wondrous China.

8 World Nature

Also at Epcot, a popular animated flick will be getting a ride, as the Journey of Water, based on Moana, will come to the World Nature space. As the name suggests, this experience will provide an interaction with water that appears to be alive and that is full of magic… just like in the movie that so many fans love watching and rewatching! This part of Epcot will also be getting a new film, which will be called Awesome Planet and which will be ready for guests to see in January 2020.

7 World Discovery

World Discovery is another Epcot area that will be bringing new adventures, like the PLAY! pavilion, full of games and activities that are based on beloved Disney characters. The Mission: SPACE pavilion can also be found here, and it will get a new restaurant called Space 220.

In short, this dining room will make for an out-of-this-world setting for an out-of-this-world meal, as it will even show off a panorama of a space station, with spectacular views of the earth, from miles up above it.

6 World Celebration

And there is an additional world at Epcot to discuss here, which is World Celebration. In this area, there will be a three-story pavilion, which is where all of the park’s iconic festivals will be held, and it promises to deliver one of the most fantastic designs ever seen at any Disney park ever! This spot will also have awesome views, a wishing tree, an interactive fountain and a statue that honors Walt Disney himself. Spaceship Earth can still be found at World Celebration, too, but it will feature new scenes.

5 Guardians Of The Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

One can’t talk about Disney without talking about superheroes, which brings this list to the next attraction… Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Located in Epcot, it will be the first reverse launch into space.

Despite how crazy that sounds, this will be something the whole family can enjoy, as it tells an entertaining story and as the coaster rotates to face the action that will be happening all around. The Guardians of the Galaxy movies, starring people like Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana, are very popular, so this ride should be a thrill for fans.

4 Avengers Campus

More superheroes can be enjoyed in California, at the Avengers Headquarters. In the future, there will be an e-ticket attraction here that let’s people fly with the Avengers to well-known spots like Wakanda.

Disney will also introduce the first ride-through attraction based on Spider-Man at the Avengers Campus, which will be at Disney California Adventure in 2020, and then at Disneyland Paris. This area will also feature the Pym Test Kitchen, where food can grow and shrink, as well as meet-and-greet opportunities with Ant-Man and the Wasp.

3 Frozen At Hong Kong Disneyland

The U.S. locations are not the only Disney theme parks that will get updated, though, as Hong Kong Disneyland will have new adventures based on Frozen. There will be two attractions, and the first is a roller coaster called Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, which will show off Olaf and Sven helping to pull the sled that guests ride on here.

The next will be Frozen Ever After, which is already a must-see attraction at Epcot and which will now be at Hong Kong Disneyland as well.

2 Castle Of Magical Dreams

The castle at Hong Kong Disneyland is getting a makeover, too, and it will become the Castle of Magical Dreams. The makeover will bring about new daytime and nighttime shows, as well as a new Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. The outside of this building will be the main thing to see, though, as its design will focus on 13 well-known Disney stories that all star princesses and heroines; Disney princesses are already so prominent at theme parks, and this will celebrate them even more!

1 Zootopia At Shanghai Disney Resort

One more animated film from Disney, Zootopia, will be coming to one more Disney theme park: the Shanghai Disney Resort. This themed land will be full of never-before-seen entertainment, restaurants and products, as well as an attraction that will help to tell this story in a new way, using state-of-the-art technology. People who adored this flick should be excited about this addition, and everyone should be anxious to visit all of these new spots!
