You can always go here, there, and yonder pulling out all the stops. But no rule says you can't stop and savor. Sure you can visit the parks for the thrill rides, but you can always take time to stop and find the Mickeys too. As proof, here are ten simple pleasures you can enjoy at the Disney Parks.

10 Ride the Rails Through the Magic Kingdom

Loved by guests of all ages but easily one of the most overlooked activities in the parks, it's the Magic Kingdom railway. Not only are the trains a great way to get off your feet and get from other sides of the park, but it's a great way to take in the scenic side of the Magic Kingdom.

Guests who ride the entire loop around can see a different side of the park they would normally miss while traveling on foot. Making stops on Main Street USA, Frontierland, and Fantasyland, the trains are a great way to kick back and watch the world go by. We highly recommend doing this closer to sunset for a more memorable view.

9 Fantasia Gardens Minigolf

One of the more recent additions to the Walt Disney World resort is Fantasia Gardens, a minigolf course inspired by the 1940 film. Practice your putting and sink a few holes accompanied by some marvelous musical features. Disney fans young and old are sure to enjoy a game.

Don't let the Disney characters fool you, this course definitely has a slight edge. The Sorcerer's Apprentice section will certainly get your robes in a twist. Put your putter to the test and try out this fantastic feature outside the parks.

8 Spend Some Time In The Springs

You don't have to go to the park to have a good time, you know? If you've already ridden down your favorite rollercoasters, take some time to enjoy Disney Springs. The Springs are much more than a collection of shopping centers, they are a neon wonderland of fun.

Take an evening from your trip to enjoy a slice of Disney's brand of nightlife. Enjoy an awesome meal at one of their various eateries, visit the stage for some live entertainment, watch the street performers, and visit the World of Disney to take home a piece of the magic. Need we say more? Go and experience another side of Disney.

7 Eat a Dole Whip

Not quite soft-serve, not exactly sorbet, but 100% tangy, pineappley goodness served with a curl and a twist. No trip to Adventureland is complete without a Dole Whip from Aloha Isle. Next to the turkey leg, it's perhaps the most iconic food of the Magic Kingdom.

Available all over the resort, but the original can only be found in Adventureland. Don't deny yourself this terrifically tart and tropical treat, savor the sweetness and freshness of a float or bowl of Whip. If you're anything like us, you can't have just one helping.

6 Club Cool

If you're looking to wet your whistle after trekking it through Epcot, we recommend checking out Club Cool for some sodas that are out of this world. Send your palate on an international exploration as you sample soft drinks from around the globe. Oh, and did we forget to mention that they're all free?

Refresh yourself with a sample of the sweet Mellon Frosty, or test your nerve and taste tolerance with a shot of the infamous Beverly. Either way, take time to enjoy all the different drinks Club Cool has to offer. It's a great way to refresh and recharge for more park fun.

5 The World Of Disney

Our favorite spot to shop in Disney Springs has to be the World of Disney, no contest. This is the biggest Disney Store on the property, and there are shelves and shelves of Disney merch for you to shop from to find that perfect souvenir. Take time to explore to find that perfect piece of magic to bring back home.

The World of Disney sells everything from Mickey ears and pins to apparel and home goods. Few stores offer this much variety, so if you can't find what you're looking for in the parks, they might just have it here.

4 Take In Some Live Entertainment

The Disney Parks have no shortage of live performances all throughout the parks. You can enjoy the happy harmonies of the Dapper Dans of the Magic Kingdom, see a stage show at Disney Springs, or any one of the multicultural performances scattered throughout Epcot's World Showcase. Like we said, no shortage.

Whether you're looking to take in a show, experience something new, or simply get off your feet for a little while, you can indulge in some talented artists at the Disney Parks. Be sure to bring your cameras too. You never know what you might see.

3 Walk The World Showcase

Epcot's most beloved feature has to be the 11 different pavilions that make up the World Showcase. From Mexico to the United Kingdom, guests can experience a taste of different countries and cultures spanning across the globe. From live performers to enchanting exhibits, the showcase has a lot to offer.

Though we highly recommend walking the entire showcase in one visit, it is possible, we definitely have a few favorite features. We love visiting the Stave Church Gallery in Norway, the bakery in France, and the kawaii museum in Japan. No matter how you spend your visit, you'll be sure to enjoy a trip around the world.

2 Mickey's Philharmagic

One of the many gems in Fantasyland, Mickey's Philharmagic is a 4-D experience featuring the best of Disney's classic songbook. Take a magical trip with Donald Duck through some iconic Disney dreamscapes on a quest to find Mickey's magic hat. Guests young and old can enjoy these terrific tunes and impressive effects that pull you into the film.

Smell the food from "Be Our Guest," feel flood from "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," and soar through the skies with Peter Pan in this marvelous musical adventure. The best part is the lines normally aren't that long, so the attraction is normally a short wait.

1 Meet The Characters

Easily our favorite thing to do at the parks is to go on a photo safari to get a few snapshots with our favorite animated characters. Mickey, Minnie and all the rest can be found in their own queues or otherwise roaming around the park, and are always great to make a memory with.

Whether you're a five-year-old girl meeting her favorite princess for the first time, or a 21-year-old college student getting a hug from Goofy, the characters are a great way to immerse yourself in the magic of Disney. After all, you can't leave the park without meeting the mouse himself.
