In early 1919 the city of Rome embarked on creating a district for its wealthy professionals and Gino Coppedè was an architect commissioned to design and build one-quarter of this area. In a twist of events in 1927, Gino Coppedè committed suicide and it is said that it was due to intense negative criticism he received concerning his architectural designs for the neighborhood. Despite having designed 40 buildings within the neighborhood, he, unfortunately, did not manage to complete the project and Paolo Emilio Andre took over the project after his untimely death. The neighborhood was later commissioned by wealthy families namely the Becchi and Cerruti families.

The Magnificent Tree Villini Delle Fate
This is a unique building located in the heart of the neighborhood of Quartiere Coppede. It is also known as the House of fairies and mimics the model in which fairy houses are depicted as asymmetric adjoined buildings. The is an amalgamation of materials used in the buildings and includes a hefty mix of brick, marble, and glass to mention a few.
The adjoining buildings are encompassed by a garden that resembles the magnificent similar-looking garden city. The grass is lush green throughout the year with mesmerizing flowers in bloom during different seasons.
The Alluring Fontana Delle Rane
Also known as the frog pond, the Fontana Delle Rane is located in the square of Piazza Mincio. It is the highlight of the square and it depicts the original, divine architectural style of the Quartiere Coppede. The pond has an intricate mesh of figures including frogs, male figures, and masks. The fountain gained popularity in the 1960s when the fully clothed liberal Beatles frolicked in the pond after a performance.
The Enchanting Palazzina del Ragno
Also reminisced as The Palace of the Spider it is a beautiful building located in the neighborhood of Quartiere Coppede. The Palazzina del Ragno has an architectural style that resembles the Babylonian era and is characterized by a huge golden spider on its exterior surface.
