Dubai is an interesting place and is full of attractions and man-made things to see and do. The Mall of Dubai is one of the largest and most luxurious malls in the world and is just beneath the Burj Khalifa - the tallest building in the world (it remains the tallest building because construction is stalled on the taller Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia). An unmissable part of the Downtown Dubai complex is the Dubai Fountain.

The Burj Khalifa is impressive, to say the least, and has a number of opportunities to go kayaking and enjoy other boat rides right in the heart of Dubai. Going for a paddle on the Burj Lake is a great activity to enjoy after exploring the highest observation deck in the world on the Burj Khalifa.

The Burj Lake & The Dubai Fountain

Come to the Burj Lake's Dubai Fountain at the right time, and one will be greeted by one of the world's most impressive choreographed fountain shows in the world. See over 22,000 gallons of water in the air at any given moment during its performances. Water is shot up as must as 140 meters (459 feet) into the air.

  • When: Every 30 Minutes Starting From 6.00 pm
  • Burj Khalifa Lake: 30 Acres or 12 Hectares
  • Largest: The World's Largest Performing Fountain

The Burj Lake spans some 12 hectares or 30 acres in Downtown Dubai. Here one can paddle and coast round under the auspices of the towering Burj Khalifa, the Mall of Dubai, and some of the world's most luxurious real estate.

The Dubai Fountain was designed by the California-based company WET Design (they also designed Bellagio Hotel's fountains in Vegas). It is the world's tallest performing fountain. It is over 900 feet long (about the same as two football pitches).

The times of the rides can vary according to the time of year and weekends.
