It should come as no surprise to anyone that the US is known around the world for its obsession with food. It's impossible to get away from this fact, food is very important to the people of the US and that they can often go too far with it as well. However, it's this excess that give us some of the most ridiculous burgers out there! We think it's about time for us to take a look at some of the most unhealthy burgers out there, as well as pointing out some that seem to make no sense to us.

What we've done is pull together fifteen burgers that are quite possibly the most unhealthy in the history of the US, while also throwing in ten more that just seem ridiculous to us. While they might be unhealthy, we can understand why some people would eat the first fifteen burgers on this list, but the last ten just need to be wiped from the face of the Earth to be honest.

So, we want to get started and look at some truly amazing burgers. Want to see how far the US can go when it comes to a simple burger? Well then, it looks like it's time for us to get started then!

24 Triple Cheeseburger

Everybody enjoys the humble cheeseburger, a chance to enjoy a hamburger with a little something extra! However, the triple cheeseburger takes it to a whole new level!

Zagat claims that this burger consists of "three juicy beef patties that are layered with tomatoes, lettuce, onions, cheese, potato chips, garlic sauce, mayonnaise, ketchup, pink sauce and pineapple sauce."

If a bit of cheese isn't enough, then this is the burger for you.

23 Spaghetti Burger

We know we said we wanted cuisines to be blended together in our burgers, but not like this...

Zagat describes "the spaghetti burger is especially worthy of the "crazy" moniker. The noodles are shaped into a bun-like form, which holds a mozzarella-stuffed meatball patty, red sauce and Parmesan flakes."

To us, that spaghetti looks incredibly dry, and we want our burgers to be moist and mouth-watering!

22 The Triple Coronary Bypass Burger

"The name says it all with this burger. Three burger patties, three fried eggs, 14 slices of US cheese and 10 slices of bacon are wedged between two grilled cheese sandwiches." (Zagat)

Can we say anything more than Zagat on this one?! We are amazed that anybody is able to make it through this beast, but we would definitely give it a go.

If anybody ever sees us trying out one of these bad boys, probably best to leave us to sleep for a while afterwards.

21 The Luther Burger

Another chance to mix salty with sweet, this is "a donut burger. Yes, instead of a bun, the burger's contents are cradled between two glazed donuts — preferably Krispy Kremes." We're not sure that we could manage to take on this much sugar and salt at the same time. We'd have to have a small savoury burger for our main meal before moving onto this sugary treat as our dessert. There's no way anyone is feeling comfortable after getting this one down!

20 PB&J Burger

"If you’re cringing at the idea of bright purple grape jelly, not to worry: Their burger is topped with sweet-meets-spicy pepper jelly, along with smooth peanut butter, crispy bacon, and melted brie."

No matter how many things they add to this burger, this description by EventBrite will always have us cringing.

Nobody wants grape jelly with their meat burger. It just doesn't work, no matter how much you might enjoy a good PB&J!

19 10lb. Monster Burger

"Loaded with all of Mallie's standard toppings, including lots and lots of US cheese slices, the burger will probably reach your chin when you sit down in front of it and can feed over a dozen people."

We're not sure we could sum up this brilliant beast better than Zagat.

If we were extra hungry, we think we would want to try and buy this on our own!

18 100x100 Burger

"In-N-Out’s secret menu is pretty famous these days and it has become pretty common knowledge that you can order a burger any size you want by simply requesting the number of beef patties and the number of cheese patties."

Yes, according to Neatorama there are people out there that are actually spending money on this monstrosity.

No matter how hungry you are, you do not need this much burger, and if there's more than one of you then just all buy your own!

17 The S'More Than Words Burger

People in the US love mixing their salty and their sweet more than any other country out there, so it's no surprise that they came up with this burger that EventBrite describes as being "encrusted with graham crackers, topped with melted marshmallow and dark chocolate, and served with salty smoked bacon on cocoa-infused bread." Now that, to us, is more of a dessert than it is a main meal.

16 The Boss Burger

Chili's describes their own burger as "the burger all other burgers report to. Smoked brisket, tender rib meat, jalapeno-cheddar smoked sausage, bacon & cheddar with lettuce, tomato, House BBQ & house-made ranch. We. Dare. You." When you get to the point where you're taunting the people choosing to come to your restaurant, then you know it's probably time to start making burgers with less meat on them.

15 Thanksgiving Burger

Neatorama claims that this burger is a great way to enjoy Thanksgiving, "featuring a turkey patty, stuffing, cranberry sauce, sage mayo and gravy. You can even get your sweet potato casserole fix by ordering a side of sweet potato fries with pumpkin sauce."

Why not try and force an entire major meal into a single burger?!

If anyone ever thinks that the US aren't always trying new things with food, they need to be shown this amazing invention.

14 Slab Burger

One of the best things about US burgers is that they will often try to blend two forms of cuisines together, rather than keep it simple.

EventBrite describes this burger best as "a house-blend beef patty topped with provolone cheese and marinara pesto before being sandwiched between two slices of Sicilian pizza."

We don't know about you, but we have always wanted to have a burger that tasted just like a pizza.

13 Nut Burger

There are a lot of people out there who enjoy peanuts and peanut butter, so it's no surprise that this burger exists, but we have to admit that to us it sounds like a bit too much... "It’s essentially a regular hamburger covered in a topping made from nothing but chopped peanuts mixed with mayo." Neatorama hasn't exactly tried to make it sound nice here, so maybe we'd be more interested if it was actually in front of us.

12 Le Burger Extravagant

As food is invented, people are always coming up with new ways to make it more and more expensive and classy, which we don't think there's anything wrong with!

"At $295, it’s got Japanese Wagyu beef, white-truffle butter, smoked Pacific sea salt, 18-month cheddar, shaved black truffles, a quail egg, caviar and a white-truffle-buttered bun."

As Zagat point out here, this is a fancy burger. We don't think any food should be forced to stay cheap, so we're making space for this expensive piece of food.

11 Ghost Burger

Zagat describes this burger as a "10-oz. patty stacked with ghost chile aïoli, slow-braised goat shoulder, aged white cheddar cheese, red wine reduction and a communion wafer garnish." It's no surprise that this burger ended up causing some controversy when it came out due to its religious connections, but we don't think religion should have to be kept out of food if we're honest! We say throw it all together.

10 French Onion Soup Burger

It's always good to see different cultures come together, even if its only in the form of a burger, which is why we like this French based burger.

"The French Onion Soup Burger combines the best aspects of French onion soup—melted cheese! sweet sautéed onions!—with the everlasting beauty of a good, salty, juicy burger."

EventBrite have it right here when they say that this is pulling together some of the best parts of French cuisine and forcing it into a burger.

9 Fleurburger 5000

EventBrite describes this burger as featuring "strips of $100/pound wagyu beef doused in butter, slabs of seared foie gras, and mounds of black truffles sautéed in duck fat, all layered on a brioche bun and served with a bottle of 1995 Chateau Pétrus 5000, which is worth thousands of dollars itself." Wow... This is the sort of burger that people indulge in when they find themselves suddenly coming into a lot of money, but still want to keep their cuisine simple.

8 Fatty Melt

"What’s better than a cheeseburger? A burger sandwiched between two delicious, buttery grilled cheese sandwiches." Neatorama asks the most important questions if you ask us! Yes, we definitely want to give this one a try if we're honest, despite how greasy it surely must be.

Make sure that if you try to take this one on that you have a drink by your side, because it's going to make your mouth dry!

7 The Rockin Ball

Okay, so we're not sure how everyone else feels about this, but we think that a burger has to be two pieces of something, preferably bread, on either side of another ingredient, right?

"A deep-fried ball of beef, cheese, french fries, and macaroni salad, topped with sauce and even more cheese, it’s basically an entire cheeseburger meal rolled into one dish."

Yes, this is the Rockin Ball, brilliantly described by EventBrite. We will not be going anywhere near this thing.

6 Fat Magnum

We're not sure why anybody would choose to buy and eat a burger that has the word fat in the name, but apparently enough people do, as this is still being sold!

According to Neatorama, "it features two hamburger patties, two chicken strips, two mozzarella cheese sticks, bacon, two fried eggs, two kinds of cheese and a handful of fries on a massive sandwich roll."

That right there, is a heart attack in a bun, and we all know it!

5 Chef Katsu’s Original California Roll Hamburger

Despite how nice all of the ingredients in this burger may be on their own, when they are put together it sounds like way too much.

This burger consists of a "custom-blended Angus beef patty topped with all your favorite California roll flavors: crab salad, sliced avocado, pickled ginger, nori, and a house-made shoyu-wasabi mayonnaise."

We suggest that people take EventBrite's advice and go for something else on the menu.
