10 Camera Crews Are Scattered Everywhere To Get Their Every Move And Strategies On Film

One Reddit user who described himself as a past cameraman for the reality television show revealed that there are about 80 crews from various departments out of frame when a challenge is going on. He also adds that the show is as real as it gets, which means that contestants are not given food, except a bag of rice at the start of day one, and are given limits to where they can wander off too.

7 Crews Work Day And Night To Capture All The Moments

Camera crews are with the cast members pretty much all day, except when contestants have to find a spot to do their business. In an interview with host Jeff Probst, it was revealed that during any challenges, there can be 15 to 20 cameras, drones and even hidden GoPros to capture every moment. He also mentioned that if a contestant went fishing, for example, there could be a cameraman capturing the scenes, a drone from up above, and an underwater camera operator ready to capture footage of the contestant catching that fish.

Host Jeff Probst revealed that every challenge on this season of the show will be a classic challenge from past seasons. According to challenge producer John Kirhoffer, all the challenges that will be on the show, except for two, have been completed by at least one player.
