The future is vegan and many tourist destinations are stepping up to the plate to deliver for their vegan customers. Disneyland is no exception to this trend and the theme park is knocking it out of the park with a wide selection of vegan options. For a long time, the only Disneyland treat for vegans was the Dole Whip found in various counter-service restaurants around the park.

10 Mickey Waffles & Pancakes At Carnation Cafe On Main St., USA, Disneyland

Since visiting Disneyland makes you feel like a kid again, you won’t mind ordering off the kids menu for these delicious breakfast treats. Just make sure you order the vegan version, as they are only available on request.

Guests following gluten-free diets will be happy to know they also do not contain gluten. >These waffles and pancakes can also be found at the Plaza Inn on Main Street, USA, as well as all on-site Disney hotels. As a tip, you don’t need to be a guest to eat at any of the on-site hotels!

9 Vegan Goodies, Various Food Carts, Disneyland

Don’t pass up the many food carts inside the park thinking you won’t find anything good to eat. While it’s true that many carts sell only ice cream and other non-vegan foods, at others you will find healthy plant-based items such as large dill pickles, hummus, grapes, mango slices, fresh pineapple, and refreshing watermelon.

Disneyland’s plain popcorn is also vegan; its buttery flavor comes from plant-based oil, so vegans can dig in! Don’t forget to look for the Olaf Strawberry Lemonade Bar found at several ice cream carts throughout the park, too.

8 Awesome Burgers & More, Ballast Point Brewing Company, Downtown Disney

Downtown Disney is a great place to go after a day in the parks or on a day when you’re not in the parks at all. While you’re there, don’t miss checking out the vegan eats at Ballast Point Brewing Company.

Admission to Downtown Disney is free but lines for dinner can be long, so visit during the day or ask to be seated at the bar.

7 Mickey Pretzels, Various Locations

Mickey pretzels have always been vegan and have been a secret treat for vegans for years. The good news is that you won’t have to look too far for this Disneyland classic. These warm, soft pretzels in the familiar shape of Mickey Mouse’s head can be found at food carts all over the park.

FUN FACT: Did you know that the cinnamon pretzels (without cream cheese filling) are also vegan? That’s right. Now there’s no need to feel deprived when you pass that cinnamon-y sweet smelling churros cart. Keep walking until you find a cinnamon Mickey pretzel and you’ll be good to go.

6 BBQ Tofu at River Belle Terrace in New Orleans Square

Finding tofu on a menu is a rarity in most restaurants, and finding it in a theme park is unheard of. But thanks to River Belle Terrace, you can order crispy BBQ tofu, with a side of baked beans, and vegetables.

If you’re looking for lighter fare, try the River Belle’s Chopped Salad with tofu. Substitute the ranch dressing with the apple vinaigrette and load up on protein with black beans and garbanzo beans, among other toppings. If you want the best viewing for Fantasmic, look into River Belle’s dining package.

5 Jambalaya, French Market, New Orleans Square

You’ll feel like you’re right in the middle of the Big Easy when you taste this vegan version of a New Orleans classic – jambalaya in a rich tomato sauce filled with mushrooms, peppers, and onions.

Don’t worry when you don’t find the vegan jambalaya served at this counter-service restaurant on the menu; it is available only upon request. TIP: You can make it a delicious and filling meal by asking for it to be served in a vegan sourdough bread bowl.

4 Classic Plant-Based Cheeseburger, Hungry Bear Restaurant, Critter Country

2 Blue & Green Milk, Milk Stand, Galaxy’s Edge

Batuu is abuzz with news of this plant-based milk that comes in two flavors. The blue milk has flavors of watermelon, dragonfruit, and pineapple while the green milk tastes more of citrus fruits.
