10 FOAM RACE
This run is filled with fun and energy, as you race through three miles of foam-filled tracks. There are numerous obstacles along the way, which will have you and your friends laughing as each of you take a spill on one or another. You can take a ride down the mega slide or hop along the lily pads, all ending in a foamy finish to refresh you after the long race. You won't regret partaking in this event and will probably want to do it again the next year.
9 KRISPY KREME CHALLENGE
This run will have you racing to support the North Carolina Children's Hospital with every step. You will get to put your love of donuts to the test as you run five miles and eat twelve donuts along the way. If you prefer to only eat a few donuts you can register as a casual runner, but denying yourself an entire box of donuts would be madness. You will have a blast racing beside other donut eaters such as yourself, struggling to take each step as you fill up on twelve delicious donuts.
8 ZOMBIE RUN
This run does not have you race against the clock, but rather, run from a horde of blood-thirsty zombies. You are given a belt with a number of flags and your goal is to make it to the end with at least one flag still intact. You can run as a single or a team and whoever makes it out is considered a survivor. There are multiple routes in this maze and your run can range from a 5k to a 10k if victims don't choose wisely.
You will be fully immersed in a real-life zombie game, which is a better exercise than your couch can offer you, and filled with screaming fun.
7 TOUGH MUDDER
This run allows its participants to get down and dirty as you finish the race covered in sticky mud. You will encounter numerous obstacles as you fight your way to the finish, as you crawl through trenches and pull yourself beneath a net of barbed wire. This race will give you the adrenaline rush you were looking for as you enter an action film starring you. This race will leave you with memories to last a lifetime as you and your friends have fun defeating each leg of the run together.
6 COLOR RUN
This run is five kilometers of pure fairy dusting color, as you are doused at each mark with colored powder. You and your friends will have a blast running past the competition in all of your colorful glory, but the race doesn't end when you cross the finish line. There is a party after the race complete with food and music, as well as more powder throwings. Your goal will be to reach the party as soon as possible and that is better than your grungy old couch any day.
5 CUPID'S UNDIE RUN
This undie run is a charity event to help cure neurofibromatosis by stripping out of their clothes and running through the streets. This run pregames with drinking and dancing before heading out on a mile long jog and ending at an epic party. It is an all-day extravaganza to help fight this disease and you won't leave disappointed, as you and your friends have the best time of your life. You will feel good about running for a cause and the hangover you might get the next day will be totally worth it.
4 WARRIOR DASH
This run is similar to the mud runner, but it involves a lot less mud and focuses more on aerial obstacles. You will climb ladders, scale walls, and leap a row of flames to get to this finish line. You will leave feeling like a confident warrior, ready to take on any challenge including exercise.

3 BAY TO BREAKERS
This race is a bit longer, being a 12k rather than the average 5k, but despite its length, you won't want to miss it. Many people dress up for this race as incredibly ridiculous things, adding to the magic of the run. You also receive a t-shirt, two meals, a massage, and entrance into the festival at the end of the day. You will find your body being pushed past its limits, but it will all be worth it for the party waiting at the other side.
2 EASTER EGG HUNT
These runs have you running to collect scattered eggs, gathering as many as you can for their unique prizes. Some runs offer candy, others hide adult items, and others let you cash in your eggs for great prizes at the end of the race. These usually require participants to be 21 and older as alcohol is normally involved, and who wouldn't have fun racing for that? You and your friends will spend this easter running your way to victory as you rip eggs from each other's hands in order to get the best prizes.
1 THE BEND BEER CHASE
This race involves recruiting five of your friends to race with you as you relay with one another to the finish line. The total mileage is 50 miles and you will drink samples at every runner exchange point along the way. You will enjoy the pleasure of exercise while sucking down new craft beers, which you might have done at the local bars with your friends anyways. You might be scared of the mileage, but the liquid courage will give you the boost you need to make it to the finish line.
