Let’s take Cancun. White, sandy beaches, some of the bluest water you will ever see, and most importantly, the sun. Try some new water sports like kayaking or windsurfing during the day, and hit the bars at night! Perfect.

9 Australia

The Land Down Under is made up of perhaps one of the most diversified landscapes on the planet. Just like Cancun, and, actually, all of the Mexican coast, Australia’s coast boasts some of the best beaches worldwide, clear waters, white sand and warm sun.

Along with simply magnificent national parks a short drive inland, some incredible man-made sights, and a vibrant nightlife,  Australia is the perfect place to take your mind off everything and just enjoy.

8 Greece

Greece has recently launched added flights to and from the country, which, in turn, connects it to more of the world. Yes, Greece has its problems, but as a tourist, the historical sights far outweigh these negatives.

From the Acropolis to the Parthenon to some of Mother Nature’s best work, Vouliagmeni and Thessaloniki, Greece is a must-visit for any new single. Not to mention the array of islands scattered throughout the Aegean Sea, just off the coast of Athens. Mykonos, Ios, Crete, Santorini... the list really goes on.

7 New Zealand

Even further south than Australia, New Zealand is a country that presents limitless natural adventures from the North Island right to the bottom of the South. Everywhere you look, you will be rewarded with a spectacular view of a lake, snow-capped mountain, lush green forest or a cute town.

Head to Wellington, where you can participate in thrill-seeking activities that are sure to clear your heard of any relationship woes; bungee jumping, zip-lining or white water rafting, among others!

6 Italy

Ah, Italia. Drawing over 60 million visitors in 2018, Italy is one of the best and easiest destinations to get to, especially from the US, as it is very central between the States and rest of Europe. It is also home to many historical sights, buonissimo food and wine (arguably the best in the world), as well as a wide variety of churches, cathedrals and none other than Vatican City!

Or, you might prefer to sightsee and relax by the beach; there's no shortage of opportunities for this too. Just be aware that one half of the Spanish coastline is on the Atlantic, so while the sun is warm and beaches are amazing, the water is a bit chilly. Widely considered the happiest place on Earth, Costa Rica is a perfect mix of amazing beaches and dense forest just waiting to be explored. Much like Switzerland, it is not overcrowded, and is more for people wanting a peaceful getaway to put their mind back on track.

With activities such as white-water rafting, zip-lining through the rainforest, hiking the many trails, or relaxing in the hot springs of Arenal, if this doesn’t clear your mind of the past, then nothing will. Here, you can be one with nature, bringing your body and soul to absolute harmony.
