Owned by Rachael and Matthew Buchanan, graduates of Texas A&M University and native to Texas, the Leaning Pear is a perfect destination for delicious food. These two stayed to explore different tastes and techniques of Italian dishes in Perugia, Italy – and came back to the U.S. in New York, where Matthew studied for a degree in Culinary Arts. They then went to Texas Hill Country, Wimberly, and decided to pursue their long-term dream; establishing a restaurant focusing on fresh, seasonal, and local delicacies. Some of the common foods they serve include wood-fired pizza, crab cakes, chicken and grits, and the Hill Country Cobb Salad.
