Sixpoint Brewery opened in 2004 but it was in 2010 when they started canning their own beers, that they really took off. The slender cans were perfect for maintaining the crisp quality of their ales while also giving the brewery a signature packaging design. You can find their cans everywhere now, but it's also worth taking a trip to where it all began.

Grimm Artisanal Ales

Originally a nomadic brewery started by a husband-wife team back in 2013, Grimm Artisanal Ales has since laid some roots at an East Williamsburg taproom in 2018. Grim focuses on Belgian-style ales. They do a unique poor every week and do limited-time releases. Visit their taproom and pair some of their beers with some Middle Eastern snacks.

Other Half Brewing Company

Other Half Brewing Company does a juicy, hazy, and Newengland-style IPA. Lines are common here as their limited can releases usually trigger out-the-door ques, but that's because the beer is worth it.

Brooklyn Brewery

Brooklyn Brewery is a large-scale operation that sells its beer all over the world. They have been open since 1988, with taprooms across many countries, but why not take a visit to their origin. Their flagship beer is the Brooklyn Ale, a Vienne-style amber lager. They also do seasonals with their Summer being the most popular.

Threes Brewing

With so many beers going hoppy, Threes Brewing offers a nice change-up. Their beer, Vliet, is slightly hoppy light, and refreshing pilsner. Their focus has been drinkable brews and farmhouse ales. Go check them out, they have been in operation since 2014.

Randolph Beer

Ever want to try a “Bear ATM”? Well even if you’ve never considered this option, you can visit Randolph Beer, swipe your card, and enjoy some pours at their 24-hour beer ATMs. Their Dumbo shop, which opened in 2017, is Randolph’s largest and the only location where they brew the beer too.

Five Boroughs Brewing Co.

In 2017, Five Boroughs Brewing Co. opened a taproom and brewery in a 12,500 square foot warehouse that was a former steel manufacturing plant. They have six year-round beers that you can sample which are the core of what they offer. They also do occasional limited releases.

Kings County Brewers Collective

The goal of Kings County Brewers has been to revive Bushwick’s prime as “Brewer’s Row.” The 5,000 square-foot warehouse and brewery usually fills on nights and weekends, as it has a devoted neighborhood crowd.

Coney Island Brewery

Who doesn't like mac-n-cheese, especially when it's paired with great beer? Keg & Lantern Brewing is a staple of Greenpoint’s neighborhood sports bars, with a solid pub menu, It added a small-scale brewery in 2014. They focus on German and Belgian ales and lagers, also sours and IPAs.
