There are many delicious desserts all over the world and we want to try them all. We definitely believe in having dessert while on vacation so it makes sense to plan ahead and make sure that we know what bakeries to go to while on an international trip.

Sure, there are a ton of restaurants and Europe and some are great whereas others don't serve the healthiest food. But when we're on vacation abroad, we want to take visits to bakeries as seriously as we do the rest of our meals.

Which bakeries in Europe will satisfy our sweet tooth? Keep reading to find out.

Demel In Vienna Has Amazing Cakes

Back in 2018, Vienna was given the title of the most "liveable city" in the world, so we definitely want to travel there at least once.

According to Save A Train, we'll want to check out Demel in Vienna, Austria if we want amazing cakes. And if we want to feel like we've gone back in time or are hanging out in a super fancy, beautiful Victorian house, then we absolutely need to come to this bakery. We can try some traditional favorites here, like Punschkrapfen (traditional Viennese rum cake) and Fragilité (described as "thinly sliced puff pastry mille-feuille with praline cream."

As this customer shared on Trip Advisor, this place stands out from other bakeries in the area: "Demel is an iconic pastry shop. From all the mega-popular Viennese cake places, Demel is my favorite, because they maintain a hand made approach to desserts (not mass made as many others that claim to be homemade)."

Patisserie Cyril Lignac In Paris Has Very Creative Treats

Famous chefs love many bakeries that sell delicious pastries in Paris and one of them is La Patisserie Cyril Lignac. This place has croissants, gorgeous raspberry tarts, macarons, chocolate desserts, and anything that we could think of.

We'll want to visit this bakery for super creative treats. According to the menu items listed on the website, there's a treat called Raspberry & Almond Milk which has "Almond and lime zest biscuit, raspberry compote, almond milk ganache, and crunchy almond praline." We would also be interested in trying the Lemon Pie which has "Shortbread hazelnut, lemon cream, and compote, coated with a white chocolate plate and decorated with a vanilla lemon glaze." Yum.

Milan's Pasticceria Castelnuovo Has Colorful Cheesecakes And Fruity Desserts

Milan is a super stylish place, home to fashion events and gorgeous streets. It also has many bakeries, so we should put it on our list when we want to eat some sweet treats in Europe.

Many travelers to Milan have written positive reviews of this bakery, sharing that the "traditional Italian pastries" are amazing. Pasticceria Castelnuovo will satisfy our sweet tooth and it has a sweet family story (no pun intended) as well. According to the website, Enrico Castelnuovo and Maria Locatelli got married and decided to start their own bakery in November 1945. They celebrated the opening of a tiny space in Via Marcantonio Colonna and then a bigger space, and now another generation is running the bakery, as Enrico's grandson Niccolò has taken over the tradition. This is the place for artfully decorated sweets: the cheesecake has raspberry swirls on top and the cream tart has a lot of colorful fruit decorating it as well.

Of all the bakeries in Europe, we think that these three serve perfect and unique treats that will definitely satisfy our sweet tooths. The only question is, should we order everything on the menu or not?!
