Kraków in Poland is arguably the most rewarding city to visit in the east European country. Kraków claims to be one of the most stunning cities in Europe and is home to the Wawel Royal Castle - the first declared World Heritage in the world in 1978. Kraków is a great destination for party lovers and draws people in from all over to experience its vibrant party scene.

Backpackers looking to really live it up with the best Kraków vibe should consider staying with Greg & Tom's three hostels in Kraków (called Party Hostel, Beer House Hostel, and Home Hostel). Greg & Tom hostels are in and around the Old Town and offer very different vibes depending on one's level of partying preference.

Greg & Toms Beer House Hostel

"Greg&Tom Hostel is one of the first hostels in Krakow and one of the most awarded in Poland."

Hostelworld.com

The largest and most lively of Greg & Toms' three hostels is Greg & Toms Beer House Hostel. It is located within the old city walls of Kraków in the heart of the Old Town. It is only a 2-minute walk to the central square and is surrounded by the party life of the city.

  • Hostelworld.com Rating: Superb 9.5/10 From 6,000+ Reviews

Greg & Toms Beer House Hostel is more than just a hostel, it is a party unto itself. The hostel actively fosters a hostel vibe with a party scene every night.

A great buffet breakfast is included with the booking and so is dinner. This isn't just a cheap and tasteless dinner. They offer a superb buffet-style dinner fit for a 4-star restaurant. Guests need to register for the dinner before 5.00 pm and then everyone is invited. They cater to those with dietary requirements (e.g. vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free).

  • Breakfast: Great Buffet Breakfast Included
  • Dinner: Superb Restuarant-Sourced Dinner Included
  • Beer: Included With Dinner
  • Shots: A Free Shot Before The Pub Crawl

The food they serve is straight from their restaurant downstairs (also Greg&Toms). Purchased on its own at the restaurant, the dinner could cost something close to the cost of a night's stay in the dorm. To boot Greg & Toms Party Hostel offers free unlimited beer for the duration of the meal. Talk about a great deal!

After dinner, it's time for a complimentary shot, and then it's who's up for a pub crawl. They offer pub crawls every night of the week (and the first hour of drinks is free).

  • Pub Crawls: Every Night Of The Week
  • Cost: Pub Crawl Is 60 Zloty or $15.00

Greg & Toms Party Hostel

Located in an old part of the city adjacent to the Old Town and about a 5-minute walk from Beer House Hostel is Greg & Toms Party Hostel.

The hostel offers a different vibe. Whereas the Beer House hostel's common area is in a brightly lit room 4 stories up overlooking the Old Town, Party Hostel's common area is in the basement underground. The hostel is smaller and perhaps a little more intimate. For those wanting to make their own private party at the hostel - this is the hostel of choice.

  • Breakfast: Great Buffet Breakfast Included
  • Dinner: Superb Restuarant-Sourced Dinner Included

It is difficult to party into the wee hours of the morning at the other hostels out of consideration for neighbors and people sleeping. But as Party Hostel's hangout zone is underground - so one can party as much as one likes. The hostel also offers the same complimentary bonuses as Beer House Hostel - great breakfast, dinner, and the nightly pub crawl.

  • Pub Crawls: Every Night Of The Week
  • Cost: Pub Crawl Is 60 Zloty or $15.00

Greg & Toms Home Hostel

Located 2 minutes walk from the Old Town and next to the train station is Home Hostel. Home Hostel is much more chill and best for those who don't want to party all the time. They have more private rooms and the atmosphere is friendly and intimate, but less festive.

  • Breakfast: Great Buffet Breakfast Included
  • Dinner: Superb Restuarant-Sourced Dinner Included

Like the other two hostels - half-board is included (breakfast and dinner). The dinner is the same quality as the other two hostels and caters to dietary requirements (although the beer and the free shot are normally absent). Everyone is asked if they would like to join the pub crawl.

  • Pub Crawls: Every Night Of The Week
  • Cost: Pub Crawl Is 60 Zloty or $15.00

At all three hostels, the staff are extremely friendly and will help everyone. On a more somber note, Kraków is also the gateway to the harrowing concentration camp of Auschwitz - they will help one with a tour or get the bus there.
