Those not ready to fully embrace winter’s cold and blustery chill may want to consider a getaway to somewhere warm—where the only sound is the waves breaking on a warm, sandy shore, and the only thing you have to reach for is more suntan lotion (or another margarita).

But (sadly) not everyone can hop on a plane and travel to a tropical vacation destination; whether it’s because of work, budget, or other obligations. However, sometimes it’s enough to simply fantasize about these balmy locales—just to escape the winter doldrums, if only for a moment. And the beaches below are definitely the stuff of any would-be island hopper’s dreams; some of the world’s most beautiful beaches that are jaw-droppingly exquisite to behold—especially for those who can’t make it there themselves, and simply need a glimpse of crystal clear waters and bright blue skies while imagining the sand between their toes and sound of the sea air blowing through the palm trees.
