For years now, different spacecraft have been built with the goal of one day sending tourists to space so they can experience not only seeing the Earth from up there but also see how vast the galaxy truly is.

Of course, these seats will only be available to those that are rich and can afford to give away millions of dollars. In fact, according to the great Elon Musk, a seat on one of these tourist space crafts will cost around $90 million.

Crazy right?

Well, not for some. A lot of celebrities have already guaranteed themselves a spot on these crafts. Some have even bought their partners' tickets as well, some of whom are no longer together. Either way, there won't be room for us on there.

Here are 20 celebrities who have bought their tickets and are headed to space before any of us small folk.

20 Leonardo DiCaprio

Back in 2013, Leonard DiCaprio bought himself a round trip ticket for a seat on Richard Brandon’s Virgin Galactic space rocket.

According to inverse.com, the actor is worth over $245 million, so buying a ticket is no problem for him. Fitness might be, though; he is still in great shape, but one must be in peak condition to fly to space.

19 Lance Bass

For 20 years now, Lance Bass has been singing his little heart about wanting to go to space.

According to en.m.wikipedia.org, Lance moved to Star City, Russia to buy a ticket on a Soyuz space capsule. He even became certified for both NASA and the Russian Space program. Sadly though, his financial sponsor backed out and it all fell apart.

18 Justin Bieber

It seems both Justin Bieber and his manager bought tickets to go up into space back in 2013. Justin even tweeted afterward how he would love to do a music video in space.

According to inverse.com, Justin is worth $225 million, so buying a ticket was easy for him.

17 Peter Thiel

Peter Thiel bought his ticket and is ready to try out a whole new adventure.

According to inverse.com, Peter is worth over $2.7 billion and although he is a little older than some of the other celebrities in this article, he can afford to hire people to help get him in shape and prepare for the flight.

16 James Cameron

James Cameron is probably one of the oldest celebrities on this list to buy a ticket.

According to inverse.com though, James has one advantage over the rest of them; he spent most of his existence at the bottom of the sea. He understands what it takes to be in a small craft with limited oxygen and extreme pressure.

15 Rihanna

Rihanna is obsessed with UFOs and space, so it comes as no shocker that she bought a ticket back in 2013 to ride on Branson’s celebrity tourist ship.

According to inverse.com though, Rihanna might have one small issue, the same issue that Justin Bieber faces. She lives an “unhealthy” lifestyle that won’t be allowed up in space.

14 Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks has suffered through multiple trips in isolation, averted a catastrophe on a NASA mission, and battled the Illuminati, so he's clearly space ready. The only thing concerning him though, even though he can afford it, is the price tag for each seat.

According to inverse.com, in a 2009 interview with AMC, Tom stated that when it comes to space, “he’d do it in a minute.”

13 Ashton Kutcher

In 2012, Ashton Kutcher signed up for a seat on the Virgin Galactic, making him the 500th customer.

According to nydailynews.com, Ashton later got a personal thank-you call and even a blog post from Branson himself that said, “He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier (and back!) with us and to experience the magic of space for himself."

12 Russell Brand

Before Russell Brand dumped Katy Perry via text message, which by the way is the worst way to ever dump someone, she had bought him a ticket on the Virgin Galactic for his 35th birthday. Which makes breaking up with her via a text even worse.

According to nydailynews.com, Russell was shocked to receive the ticket, given his background.

11 Katy Perry

After Katy Perry bought her then-husband Russell Brand a ticket for his 35th birthday, she decided she didn’t want him to go alone and bought herself one a year later.

According to nydailynews.com, no word on whether she is still going to go with her ex, or if she will just swamp it out for something else.

10 Brad Pitt

It seems Angelina Jolie won’t be the only celebrity who is going to make the travel to space with an ex-husband.

According to nydailynews.com, Brad is another celebrity who has his ticket and is ready for this new adventure in his life and we don’t blame him.

9 Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet can thank her hubby for her seats.

According to nydailynews.com, Kate was able to score free tickets for her entire family to travel on the Virgin Galactic thanks to her husband, Ned Rocknroll, who is the space tourism company's head of marketing and astronaut experience.

Also, he is Brandon’s nephew so there is that too.

8 Andrew Lloyd Webber & Sarah Brightman

Space seems all cool and exciting, but after a while, these celebrities are going to get bored. Luckily though, they will have two amazing talents to keep them entertained.

According to thetravel.com, Sara Brightman and her ex-husband Andrew Lloyd Webber will be joining their crew and they have a song to perform while in space.

7 Richard Branson

Richard Branson has had the odds stacked against him since birth, but that hasn’t stopped him from becoming the man he is today.

According to thetravel.com, Richard designed a project to send people to space as tourists and it has attracted a lot of A-list celebs who have spent millions for a ticket.

6 David Beckham (Maybe)

Branson has truly piqued the minds of a lot of A-listers who have spent millions on tickets to go to space on his Virgin Galactic.

According to thetravel.com, many major space travel firms have reached out to David Beckham to go into space and David has actually shown interest in it for years.

There is no word yet though if he received a ticket.

5 Mila Kunis

Earlier we spoke about how Ashton Kutcher was number 500 for the Virgin Galactic.

Well, according to thetravel.com, Ashton had plans to buy Mila Kunis, who was his girlfriend at the time, a ticket as well. There hasn’t been confirmation yet if this happened, but since they married in 2015 we could only guess they would make the trip together.

4 Angelina Jolie

According to nydailysnews.com, Angelina Jolie is already a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, so it comes to no shock that she would want to go to space. Someone needs to be there for the Aliens if we ever make contact after all, and what better person than Angelina Jolie?

3 Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron was 100% down to travel to space on Branson’s Virgin Galactic thanks to her role in Prometheus.

According to foxnews.com, during an interview, she explained, “I’m totally open to going up into space. I’m sure it would be scary, but hopefully I’d just be going to see what it looks like, so I’d be coming back. I wouldn’t miss anything here because I try to live in the present.”

2 Michael Fassbender

It seems Charlize isn’t the only one from the movie Prometheus that wants to travel on the Virgin Galactic.

According to foxnews.com, her co-star, Michael Fassbender, also wants to have a mind-blowing experience up in the cosmos. “If I had the chance to go into space, I’d definitely take it,” he was quoted as saying.

1 Stephan Hawking (Well, If He Was Still Alive)

Stephen Hawking might not be alive today, but he was one of the very few that was offered a free spot on the Virgin Galactic.

According to nydailynews.com, Hawking’s dream was to always go up into space and to raise awareness that it’s humanity's vital mission to explore the stars if we are going to survive.
