There are thousands of places to stay around the world courtesy of AirBnB, and these are the ten spots the site considers to be the absolute best.
The emergence and popularisation of AirBnB has revolutionized the way in which we travel and visit the far reaches of the world around us. No longer do we have to rely on what can be expensive hotels or take a risk on what might be a horrible hostel. Instead, we can stay in a house, or an apartment, and basically have a home away from home for a week or two.
However, AirBnB has become so big that the sheer amount of choice when it comes to selecting somewhere to stay can be pretty daunting. No matter where you're traveling there's likely a lot of choice on AirBnB. Well, if you're looking to stay at the best that the site has to offer, then look no further than some of the listings featured below.
The travel site has ranked the ten top AirBnB listings based on how many times they have been added to people's wishlists over the past ten years. The listings are spread across seven countries on five different continents and are all very different. Some are made of bamboo, one of the US entries is made entirely of glass, and there's even a couple of listings that are inside caves.
The entry made entirely of glass mentioned above is situated in California and comes in at number eight on the top ten list. It's called the Off-grid ItHouse and has been added to AirBnB users' wishlists almost 64000 times. That's a lot less than half the amount garnered by the number one entry, however. I Sette Coni – Trullo Edera, situated in Ostuni, Italy, is an entire village with an iconic conical roofline. The best part? It costs just $81 per night to stay there.
The rest of the list includes bamboo houses in Indonesia, a couple of entries in Greece, and a beautiful farmhouse in Colombia. If you want to check them out in more detail then you can by heading to AirBnB's site. Who knows, you may find yourself on a waiting list to stay at one of these dream destinations by the end of the day.
