Until midnight on October 17th, those looking for a sky-high, for-real deal regarding bargain flights can take advantage of JetBlue's one-way options. For as little as $49, and assuming you live in the areas of the departure hubs cited, the airline's flash sale offers a few destinations. At other locations, you might have to shell out a bit more. Here's the long and short of what was announced on October 16th and is available. For $49, jet from Long Beach to San Francisco. Throw in a few bucks and for $54, take a trip from Fort Lauderdale to Charleston, or Long Beach to Las Vegas. Still feeling lucky? Then for as low as $59, hop a JetBlue from Puerto Rico to the US Virgin Islands, or from Boston to Atlanta. Those in the $60-bracket have a few more options. For as low as $64, choose among flights from Nashville to Fort Lauderdale, from New York to Washington, DC, from Washington, DC to Boston, from Pittsburgh to Fort Lauderdale or from New York to Portland, Maine. Chip in an extra fin and for $69 head off from Burlington, Vermont to New York, Hartford to Washington, DC, or Orlando to Richmond.RELATED: JETBLUE CEO EXPLAINS HOW BAGGAGE PRICE INCREASES WILL KEEP FARES LOW

And for bargain hunters who still want to splurge a bit more, $74 will get you a junket from  New York to Boston, $79 buys you a ticket from Savannah, Georgia to New York, and $99 will let you go all out on a vacation from Boston to Bermuda.

Naturally, the deals would be too good to be true if there weren't a few catches to these opportunities. Don't even think of booking during the holiday period, as the deal isn't applicable during those designated dates on the flight schedules. That said, the window is open from Oct. 24th to Dec. 15th, except for Fridays and Saturdays. Also, be wary of a $30 charge for baggage checks. And consider extra cash for booking a return ticket.

If there isn't a preferred destination from a departure location near you, however, fear not. Additional flight options are available for perusal on the JetBlue sales page. At last check, almost every flight was priced at $199 or lower, save for the odd flight to Aruba.
