Today, the burger giant – not to be confused with the Burger King franchises – is an international business with restaurants around the world and menus that reflect diverse cultures. From pizza filled McPuffs and paneer salsa wraps to McAloo Tildd and McCurry Pan, palates are being tantalized, teased, and pleased at McDonald’s restaurants around the world.

Taking a direct flight back to North America, Canada is next on the list of McDonald’s with a menu item honoring Canadian cuisine. Poutine is a standard dish in Canada. 14 Ebi Filet-O-Shrimp Burger
Japan opened its first McDonald’s in 1971. With its long history, it’s one reason why it has such a diverse menu because there’s been plenty of time to try out new food items. One popular choice that remains high on the list of favorites is the Ebi Filet-O-Shrimp sandwich. The shrimp are coated with panko batter then they are deep-fried, creating a shrimp enclosed patty. It’s served with lettuce and savory tempura sauce. It is the perfect combo of seafood meets burger.

For non-McSketti lovers, customers can substitute with rice. It is a creative menu option.
McDonald’s keeps expanding and trying out new cultural staples and when in Italy, the company has decided to do as the Italians do and serve the zesty taste of pizza. The McDonald’s item is really a calzone versus a slice of pie, and that’s A-Okay. The calzone has a crisp shell pocket stuffed with tomato sauce and melted cheese. It’s a quick and inexpensive fix for a taste of Italy while you’re out and about sightseeing.
9 Pineapple Pie
Back to those delicious fruit-filled pies. No matter where you travel to, you just can’t get away from these tidbits of sweet goodness, which is the case in Thailand. The tempting treat is a play on the iconic apple pie, which McDonald’s has served since the 1940s. It is American food at its best. In Thailand and several other locations, pineapple has replaced the apple. The crisp shell is filled with a mixture of pineapple chunks and jelly. Way to go!
8 Camembert Doughnuts
Calling these rings of delight doughnuts is a little misleading as they are not of the sweet Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts variety. In Germany, these little doughnuts on the menu can make mouths water and heads spin... they are just that good. Add an order of McBeer – you’re reading that right – it’s not the root beer variety!
7 Toblerone McFlurry

Both sandwiches are layered with bacon slices, a choice of garnishes such as grilled onions, and topped with mashed potatoes. Double-take.
5 Rice McWraps

3 The Belgium
No, we’re not talking about Agatha Christie’s famous detective, Hercule Poirot. We are talking about Belgium’s claim to fame as being the only McDonald’s offering the Belgium Burger. The one-of-a-kind burger has an all-beef patty topped with grilled onions, salad, and bacon. The two ingredients that make it stand out from the rest are the cocktail sauce for zest and the Maredsous cheese for richness. Like the famous detective, the burger is low-key on the outside but packs a punch.
2 Cordon Bleu Burger
Okay, this one is over-the-top in multiple flavors and ingredients. This is not a bad thing, because the Cordon Bleu Burger looks scrumptious. To start, the burger has multiple patties; chicken, pork, and beef. No fish. The chicken patty is deep-fried for that extra crunch needed to go along with the bacon. Add a slice of cheese and a few garnishments for good measure. This beauty is served on a fresh onion roll and a perfect Polish burger is served.
