Thailand is a mystical place, and even that might be putting it lightly. As a nation, they aren't exactly viewed as being amongst the 'first world' countries out there, but in a lot of ways, they don't really try to be.

They're more focused on creating experiences that will last a lifetime for travelers from around the globe. Having an impact like that is rare as a tourist destination in that part of the world, but somehow, they've managed it.

One of the big attractions, especially for younger people, is the allure of the traditional Full Moon Party. We say traditional, but in reality, everyone just gets absolutely off their rocker drunk - and we'd like to try and document the mayhem here today.

If you're going to try and do the limbo under circumstances such as these, then you probably don't want to be too drunk when you do it. Either way, trying not to set fire to yourself, we'd imagine, would be the first big step towards success.

The non-PG hats are the ones found slightly below, but from the insane color scheme to the mushrooms, we're trying to picture what it'd be like to be high as a kite whilst looking at one of these things. Just imagine trying to explain that to your kids in the years to come, too.

These little buckets are fairly popular when you head on over to a Full Moon Party, and it's not exactly hard to understand why. We may not be particularly keen on the free hug from a complete stranger, but we'll just see where the booze and the sense of freedom take us.

You could probably be fooled into thinking that you've been transported to Cabo or Cancun in this shot, and we'd completely understand the logic behind that. While the party may take place at night, we won't stop you from getting things started early.

The traditional vest and subtle face paint look is one that a lot of guys and girls go with, mainly if they don't want to go too over the top with their look. One thing is for sure: if they don't look ten times worse 12 hours on from this being taken, then they haven't done the Full Moon justice.

A sleep area to try and catch up on some hours is always a good idea, especially if you've been partying fairly non-stop for hours on end. Nobody is invincible, no matter how much they claim to be, so you may as well have a snooze and then get ready to start it all over again.

These people may all know each other or they might not know one another at all, and that's the thrill of it. The chaos of a Full Moon Party includes finding out so much about yourself, and perhaps even more interestingly, finding out stuff about other people.

Pro wrestling fans will be getting some serious Darby Allin vibes here, but aside from that, it's just a really cool look this guy is going for. We aren't sure whether or not he's actually having a good time, but either way, we're digging it.

8 The Ring Of Fire

Don't think, just do. That should be the motto (most of the time) for a party of this magnitude, and that's the route this gentleman has decided to go down. Whether or not he caught fire like the man earlier on in the piece remains to be seen.

7 Ready For Anything

It's not the most imaginative look we've ever seen, and he kind of looks like he's about to engage in a game of tennis, but perhaps that's the point in some strange, strange way. He looks like a dude we'd all enjoy having a beer with, so keep on keeping on.

The morning after is never a pretty sight, but this quite literally resembles the entrance gate to down under. The utter chaos that must have gone down the night prior would put most clubs out of business. Oh, and check out the guy in the background making his move. Smooth.

They truly do love their fire over there for these parties, and you know what? We kind of love it, too. It's all a little bit messy and a little bit chaotic, but so are a lot of things in the party scene. Let's just hope the wind doesn't take it and cause even more chaos.

2 The Festival Atmosphere

You've got the flags out in force, great music and plenty of alcohol to go around - as well as a few fun stalls, too. There will be stuff to do here right up to 5 am and beyond, and that's what we call a party - or, you know, a festival without the extortionate entry fees and bands.
